11:00 PM
Let's post a bunch of spam here then move it to Vyxal to mess with them

Hey

Two can play at a game, the Vyxal ROs are ready to send spam your way /s

They don't need us to post spam, they have a bot to do it for them :P
@user Ooh, please give me an excuse to use the kick button :P

jelly is followed by based in the frequency chart lol

11:01 PM
based

based

Wow, double ninja

ninja? I thought it was a chain
also
lol

I'll make a better dictionary later, so I can search for phrases like hyper-neutrino that have non-word characters in them

I'm tempted to post a challenge because I'm 10 rep away from capping and I have a challenge idea :/
On the other hand, I posted one today, and I'm not sure I can write it up and post in an hour

11:04 PM
Link to a post you're proud of and I'll be happy to vote on it :)

Hmm, that might be more difficult than writing a challenge :P

lol

Speaking of challenges, any feedback? tsh was nice enough to make a validator, so it's basically ready

Besides, it's not like I need the rep or to cap :P

11:06 PM
@Ausername Minor change in wording in the robbers part: "try to find" -> "find"

@Ausername One potential concern: it's very broad

Also, I don't think the cop should be the one specifying bounds - I feel the robber should only obey the challenge's bounds to make it more interesting (but that's your choice)
I'd also suggest bumping up the net score to +10 or so

What if the challenge doesn't specify bounds, but it eventually fails due to huge numbers?
@user Ok

I guess the robber can guess that, then
I mean, it's up to you, feel free to go back to the cop specifying bounds if you want
Just putting ideas out there :)

11:09 PM
Ok :)
I'll just post then

Observe: funny numebr :P

At one point I had 69/100 score and 42/20 answers for bronze

> 489 responses

Does anyone actually clear those?

i do because it annoys me

11:14 PM
I think I only go there if I need to find a specific response that's no longer in my topbar inbox

half the time i try not to and the other half i don't even think
^

Not as many

@cairdcoinheringaahing yeah I lowkey regret doing that for them :P

Through June I kept trying not to click on the reputation thing cause it resets it, but I kept repcapping and I like to cry over lost rep keep track of upvotes

@hyper-neutrino You can remove them at any time

11:16 PM
Of the 500k words in my dictionary, why did my prefix encoding program have to pick such a questionable group of them to use for debugging...

in Vyxal, 11 secs ago, by Vyxal Bot
hyper-neutrino pushed a commit to VyxalBotSE/master: remove dice roll and blame commands
:P

Why is the VyxalBot repo private?

To stop people from sneaking in Joe Mama :P

IDK, tbh
it's not like there's anything sensitive in there and only trusted people can push to it directly anyway
although "trusted" here means trusted by lyxal, not necessarily by me

Any feedback? And should I ask on Math.SE if it's possible?

11:19 PM
Yes

@hyper-neutrino Being trusted by lyxal isn't a badge of honor IMO :P

After your last impossible challenge...

@cairdcoinheringaahing oof but yes true

@Ausername That was a very interesting proof of impossibility :P

granted, the repo being public doesn't stop the organization members from arbitrarily pushing to it either...

11:20 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing True

@cairdcoinheringaahing Well, lyxal did make a lot of people ROs, but I don't think any of them would go do anything outright malicious or stupid

@cairdcoinheringaahing I fully believe lyxal would trust Rick Astley with his first born child :P
6

Except me :P
@cairdcoinheringaahing Of course, because he would never give it up

@user ..Isn't that bad? :P

if i wanted to stop random people from pushing to the repo i'd need to not put it in the repo, but idgaf :p

11:22 PM
It isn't if you don't want to care for your kid

in Vyxal, 23 hours ago, by hyper-neutrino
i like how this is 16% a GH update bot, 15% a vyxal executor bot, and 69% a meme bot

I suppose instead of getting an abortion or giving your child up for adoption, you could just donate it to Rick, but that seems like a lot of pressure for the guy :P

You can trust Rick Astley to never let your kid down
@cairdcoinheringaahing Getting an abortion isn't always possible :(

But Rick always is :P
I have yet to see a political discussion about or law banning Rick Astley

Rick is an immortal vampire (source: his AMA on Reddit)

11:23 PM
didn't someone rickroll him there

@user Did you see his response to one of the comments? Brilliant

@cairdcoinheringaahing Why would there be? Everyone loves him because he'll never run around or desert you. Isn't that what everyone wants?
@cairdcoinheringaahing ಠ_ಠ wth did I click on that gahhh

@user same

aw that link doesn't autoshorten. well that gives it away

Nice try

11:25 PM
@hyper-neutrino Everyone knows that reddit links don't begin with www. :P

what?

@cairdcoinheringaahing ???

i literally copy-pasted the link out of my url bar

amp or old then?

Pretty sure they show up as reddit.com/r/whatever

11:25 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing Not when you copy them

the www is hidden in most browsers along with the protocol until you copy it out
and you can remove it but most websites support both

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ every time I've seen the raw links here, it strips the www.

well if i copy-paste it directly, sure
it also cuts it down if it's too long
but since i markdown linked it it just shows the original text

The chat FAQ on links says that it collapses links with more than 30 characters in, huh

Q: It almost works (Cops' Thread)

A usernameRobbers' Thread Your challenge is to find an existing challenge, and implement it in a way such that certain inputs fail. At least one input must not produce the correct output (use the other submissions on the challenge as a reference for this, but be sure to double-check). The challenge must sa...

that probably only applies to normal links that are just a URL pasted in directly

Give me a minute for the robbers thread
I hate it when that happens

Q: It almost works (Robbers' Thread)

A usernameCops' Thread Your challenge is to find an uncracked, unsafe cop on the cops thread, and find an input value for which their code does not do as specified by the challenge. You must use values within the bounds specified by the cop and the challenge - if a float breaks their program but they spec...

Wow I got the links right!
(To avoid annoying stuff, I figured out what the links would be before posting. It worked!)

11:33 PM
@NewPosts Can we post an answer that we know fails for a specific input, but we don't know what that input is?
(cc @Ausername)

How would that work?

I know that there is an input for which my answer fails. However, I don't know what that input is
It's possible to find it, and therefore crack my answer, but I haven't found it yet

But how can you know that your answer then fails?

Yes, I know for a fact that it will fail
You can prove something will fail without providing or knowing the example that will cause it to fail

I'm gonna say no to that one.

11:36 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing Then you can't mark it as safe, obviously

Ooh, I didn't realise that, that makes it more interesting

Oh well

I am much not smart
I forgot JS's objects are useless as dictionaries when constructor, prototype, __proto__, etc. are possible keys

@RedwolfPrograms Object.create(null)

True, still shouldn't be necessary :/

11:46 PM
Wait, do I start getting chat flags when I get 10k rep networkwide or on code golf?

Network wide

Network wide

Ok
Not long then

@cairdcoinheringaahing To be even more specific: it has been conjectured that a counter example exists (causing my answer to fail), and it's almost certain that one does exist, such counter example is currently unknown :P

Now I'm confused.

11:55 PM
Collatz?
Wait no

My answer was in Jelly, which uses sympy's probabilistic prime test. It's conjectured and believed that there exists a composite number for which it fails, but it hasn't been found

That's frankly too confusing.
You'll never be able to mark it as safe and no one will ever be able to crack it
So no.
Nice idea tho

Oh yeah, I figured I wouldn't be able to post that as soon as Bubbler remarked it couldn't be marked safe
Tempted to write a C&R about solving outstanding mathematical problems now :P
