it started here, this problem was solved
More than welcome. For future visitors, here's the chat resulting from this Q&A containing more info: chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/66020/room-for-webster-and-pieb‌iePieBie yesterday

@Webster There's also:

then another question about my specific problem posted yesterday
cant find it...

Q: Use Search Box to Filter

WebsterI have a gallery of document thumbnails with search and sort functions. I'd like search queries to apply to the filter. My search function is triggered on each keyup and it does filter alphabetically. The search is searching the titles of documents and displaying matches. The results are not ...

Chris is helping me

G'morning everyone.

11:14 PM
@ATaco What TZ?

Aus Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

AEDT, actually.

@Webster Idk why but that room messed up for me jsfiddle.net/bt6r1qdx

9:15AM, I'm at work on a public holiday :P
For the curious, it's the AFL Grand Finals, which is I think the equivalent to the Superbowl, although we get a day off for it.

11:17 PM
Don't think you can claim "at work" while on TNB
American Football League?

Well I'm physically at location.
Australian Football League.

"at work" and at work are two very different things

I'm on TNB far too much "at work"

@Christopher2EZ4RTZ So.... NFL?

@Christopher2EZ4RTZ I can.

11:19 PM
As far as I know, NFL is the only AFL
(Although I guess there is the CFL)

AFL is like NFL except it's more violent and less armour.
Although it's less violent than any sport that happens in Canada.

11:34 PM
ಠ_ಠ
Canadian's 1st national sport is apologising k (/s)
so sorry to say (yeah ik that was not even a joke sorry) but no you're wrong probably

@HyperNeutrino You're Canadian? (Or Canadien?)

Canadian

@HyperNeutrino I've lived in Quebec for almost five years.

ooh you currently live in Quebec too?

@HyperNeutrino No, moved to UK 1.5 years ago.
I miss Montreal though.

11:40 PM
ah ok I see ("I've lived" threw me off a bit :P)

@HyperNeutrino I would have said "I lived" if it had been one contiguous period, but since it was split in two…

ah ok :P

Question: on scale of 1-10 how good of a programmer do you think you are
I was recently asked this question and I had no idea how to respond
so just curious

I'd say 3

11

11:47 PM
10 is the best

I know

Maybe 2. I'm very not good.

write a function to define it with sleepiness, day of week and language as variables

@FunkyComputerMan 0 would be like not knowing how to program

I find that if I'm overconfident in my programming ability, then I can only better myself, as it feels more valuable as a goal.

11:48 PM
@Downgoat Sounds about right

maybe like 1? 2?
I know how to code a thing but I don't know how to really program things properly

I intentionally refuse to use comments.

> Has made esolangs
> don't really know how to really program things properly

I only use comments where it's not actually necessary; I hardly ever use comments where they might actually be useful
esolangs aren't extremely hard to make k

My comments are less than ideal.

11:50 PM
like if you look at VSL
and then you look at something like Ceres which is like ew

@Downgoat Depends a lot on the task. I'm utterly inexperienced in communication stuff.

^ actually same. If you want me to write in Brain-Flak I'm the guy, any other language not so much.

> -- Why are you doing this on a non-stack. Why do you hate me?
> -- a is a our C value. Bad naming but sue me.
> -- Does polarity of the delta REALLLLY matter to you people? Probably. POLARITY DOES MATTER AND THIS WAS WRONG!!

@FunkyComputerMan Comments can be fun though, especially IBM's from the early 70's.

11:52 PM
> -- Anything that still uses this makes me SAD

I'm almost halfway through the APL\360 sourcecode, collecting the "best of" APL\360

Comments really say a lot about a programmer.

Halp. Disable enter key submit in jquery. But I just keep getting post error

pls provide MCVE

$gg'$
Taco script messed uo
   $$

11:56 PM

Q: How on earth did llhuii output the Evil Numbers in 42 bytes of Python?

xnorThis is a tips question for golfing in Python concerning the Evil Numbers question on Anarchy Golf. An number is evil if its binary expansion has an even number of 1's. The challenge is to print the first 400 evil numbers 0,3,5,...,795,797,798, one per line. The Python 2 submissions are led by...

wouldn't you need to also do that for keydown

I guess
I just need that last bit of code

11:58 PM
Wait, remember not to overcomplicate it!
What type of element is searcher?

div class="input-group docSearch">
            <input type="search" class="form-control" id="searcher" placeholder="Search">
            <div class="searchButton">

            </div>
