@MartinBüttner oh right

@KennyLau (0|1(((0|1(01*00)*01*011)(((0|11)|10(01*00)*01*01)1)*((0|11)|10(01*00)*01*01)|1‌(01*00)*01*01)0)*((0|1(01*00)*01*011)(((0|11)|10(01*00)*01*01)1)*10|1)(01*00)*1)*‌

@KennyLau but that took me 10 minutes to generate

Alright people, I got one last off topic question for the day, should I buy Halo 5?
I've narrowed it down to that.

5:29 PM
@zyabin101 HELL NAW

@zyabin101 I thought so.

But IDK if its worth it, I may just save my 40 bucks for somethin else

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ These bookmarklets put these things into clipboard?

@AshwinGupta There is already Halo 5??

@flawr yup. Campaign is garbage... Multiplayer is supposed to be good.

5:30 PM
@zyabin101 No, they put it into the active element

I just bought halo 2 a while ago?

@flawr Um halo 2 came out 12 years ago...

Whaaaaat????

Halo 2 is a 2004 first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie Studios. Released for the Xbox video game console on November 9, 2004, the game is the second installment in the Halo franchise and the sequel to 2001's critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved. A Microsoft Windows version of the game was released on May 31, 2007, developed by an internal team at Microsoft Game Studios known as Hired Gun. The game features a new game engine, as well as using the Havok physics engine; added weapons and vehicles, and new multiplayer maps. The player alternately assumes the roles of the human Master...

@AshwinGupta how old is halo ce then?

@flawr older then me nvm, It came out november 2001, I was born 2 months earlier

Now I feel really old.

@Dennis I found out Try it online! for Pyth which is great and fast. Unfortunately, "Hello, World! with the -d argument gives just the wrong answer.

@flawr lol can't help much w/ that.

Well did you play any of the halo 3 and halo 4? (I guess that is what ones since then have been called?)

Other than that, I find out the same program without the -d argument runs fine.

@flawr I got a game called Halo mastercheif collection. It has all of them bundled together for like 30 bucks

5:34 PM
(halo 2 was soo cool, you could have dual weapons!!!! =)

Except that I got it with my xbox so i didn't pay any extra for the game
Of course, the xbox was expensive as hell...

@AshwinGupta I suspect the first ones went offline when game-spy closed the support, right?

@flawr Ik, dual pistols and needlers and things
@flawr well probably. But with Halo MCC their are severs for all the halo games, including Halo CE

VoteToCloseI host a Cloud9 server, and I connect currently by tunneling via ssh to said server in order to make the login protected, yet this kind of defeats the purpose of specifying the login credentials (since I need to add the ssh keys for access anyways). 5:49 PM
What is pNaCl?
psalt?

Not to be confused with Networking and Cryptography library. Google Native Client (NaCl) is a sandboxing technology for running a subset of Intel x86/x86-64, ARM or MIPS native code in a sandbox. It allows safely running native code from a web browser, independent of the user operating system, allowing web-based applications to run at near-native speeds, which aligns with Google's plans for Chrome OS. It may also be used for securing browser plugins, and parts of other applications or full applications such as ZeroVM. To demonstrate the readiness of the technology, on 9 December 2011, Googl...

Guys, how do I copy the contents of my master branch to gh-pages branch

Google has some sort of infatuation with colored output in their makefiles

I want to just replace everything in GH pages with the stuff in my master
Im using GIT Gui at this moment but I can work with the command line if needed.

@AshwinGupta git checkout -b gh-pages master

5:52 PM
@quartata TY

That'll checkout master and place the contents in gh-pages

$ git checkout -b gh-pages master
fatal: A branch named 'gh-pages' already exists.

Oh, yeah.

I didn't realize you already had gh-pages set up

5:53 PM
Yeah, I'm trying to regularly update gh-pages when I fix up master
Should I just delete gh-pages then do that?

You can do git cherry-pick I think

Someone should bookmark that one showcase of Seriously reacting to English sentences as code.

I'm not that good with Git
So not sure

Ok
thats fine
but if I delete gh-pages and use your command that should work right?

Yeah.

5:54 PM
ok
wait DUH.
I'm a dumb*ss.
Github has drag and drop now.
I can just put in my files and it will replace the old ones.

That helps hehe

Who here cares about losing many, many privileges when the site gets a custom design?

@wizzwizz4 meaning?
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ fixed the wall detection: niwhsa9.github.io/Space-War. Ignore the aliens though, they are broken atm. And click don't show any more alerts from this webage, I have thoes in there for debug.

When PPCG gets a custom site design, the reputation requirements for each privilege will go up, meaning that we lose privileges.

why not console.log

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Chrome. Im using MS stupid text editor though and it spazes out when I put console.log, I know I can use f12* but whatever

XD which browser are ya on?

@zyabin101 Woo! I started that conversation!!! WOOOOOO!
Anyway, who here cares that they will lose privileges in 6 to 8 weeks?

5:59 PM
@AshwinGupta oh XD

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ yeah I'll fix that sorry its anoyying, hold up lol

Erm... does nobody here care that they will lose privileges when we get our own site art?

actually I don't even need that anymore, the slopes seem to be correct.
@wizzwizz4 what privileges will we loose?

@AshwinGupta the scoreboard is still above the ship btw

6:01 PM
@Maltysen yup that's what I'm fixing right now!

cool

@AshwinGupta Just plug your reputation counts into
9
Q: How much more reputation do I need?

wizzwizz4Programming Puzzles and Code Golf has graduated from beta. Soon we will get a custom site design, and with that the reputation boundaries for privileges will go up. A lot of users will lose privileges on the site. So your task is to write a program that tells us how much extra reputation we'll ne...

You have 331 so...

@wizzwizz4 Most people won't lose that many privileges.
It's supposed to happen, at any rate. The only reason why beta privilege thresholds are so low is that in the very beginning when there aren't a lot of users they need it to be easier for users to be able to get the rep for mod tools and keep the site from collapsing

@AshwinGupta You'll need 1169 more reputation to keep your privileges.

@wizzwizz4 what privileges will I loose?

6:03 PM
Crap.
I apparently need 19.4k more.

I need like 13k :/

I personally think that beta privilege thresholds are too low :P

idc about my privileges too much honestly. As long as I can answer questions, make challenges, and talk in this chat room...

@Maltysen and crap I just broke it lol.

6:06 PM
Dammit. This port of Perl doesn't build libperl and enabling useshrplib breaks things

@AshwinGupta is the scoreboard a dom element or are you rendering it on the canvas?

@Maltysen canvas, its just a rectangle being drawn and two lines of text

@AshwinGupta You will lose the ability to create tags.

@Maltysen should it be a DOM element?
@wizzwizz4 don't care too much about that.

You won't loosen anything. :-p

6:06 PM
@AshwinGupta no, in fact this makes it easier

I need 16k rep :(

@Maltysen I'm just using <= and >= to check for walls/scoreboard.

@AshwinGupta just put the line where you draw the scoreboard before the line you draw the ship

@Maltysen oh yeah true I could do that... Duh.
ty lol

Do you think it would help people calculate their required extra rep and entice them to Q&A more if that question was on the HNQ?

6:09 PM
@Maltysen Yes ty! One bug fixed, 999,999 more to go!

no prob, tell me if you need help with anything

99 bugs on the wall, fix a bug, 117 bugs on the wall

I finally found the symbol I was looking for \rightharpoonup

@Maltysen you!
yeah, you!
make a challenge
you know you want to

6:11 PM
@orlp wow you must be a good programmer, mines normally goes, 1 bugs on the wall, fix a bug, 999,999 bugs on the wall...

@orlp I do, I just have no ideas…

@Maltysen sure ty, I'll let you know!

@Maltysen ok, here's an idea.... fractals
lets go

A circle is a fractal, right?

@flawr I don't believe so
there's no self-similarity

6:13 PM
Right, it is not scale invariant.

@zyabin101 TIO doesn't support interpreter flags.

@orlp A circle is certainly self similar.

@orlp lol there are like thousands of challenges on this site. Just pick one and go w/ it.

There could be nothing else than a circle that is more similar to a circle than a circle. :D
@orlp Well then a straight line must be a fractal.

@flawr it is
wikipedia disagrees though
"A straight line, for instance, is self-similar but not fractal because it lacks detail, is easily described in Euclidean language, has the same Hausdorff dimension as topological dimension, and is fully defined without a need for recursion."

6:15 PM
Straight lines and squares are usually considered to be technically fractals, but not really so. I don't remember what the precise distinguishing characteristic is. Oh, that must be it. ^

@orlp ...that's really informal
well I guess the last two criterion are formal, but still pretty stupid

I still think there is no real definition of what a fractal is or what it is not.
And you'd have to do a lot of work to make a good definition of fractals that e.g. includes the mandelbrot set.

)─◄v▬+¢╠÷ÑÏ@é◄D

@wizzwizz4 -1 not a fractal.

6:21 PM
@flawr -1 not a fractal.latcarf a ton 1- rwalf@

@wizzwizz4 hwat

@wizzwizz4 -1 rwalf@ is not linked.
That makes already -2.

-1 because it has downvotes

6:23 PM
The first downvote on a question is a mod's, and everyone else just bandwagons.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ mod geobits

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

¯ \_(ツ)_/¯

6:24 PM
@wizzwizz4 -2 way too obvious, you are at -4 already

Actually, it's a Rick Troll.

@wizzwizz4 nice
a hint is that the title of the video is "Rick Roll"
and not "Never Gonna Give You Up"

crap haven't enabled that on this OS yet.

@VTCAKAVSMoACE Are you finally using Linux?

6:26 PM
@quartata I always was. Just not for my personal computer.

Ah.
Distro?

I've got 3 microSDs running around my RPi.

Click on it. Oh look, the video's not there. But how can we see that image? Surely when you press the Delete button on a video, Google deletes it...?

@quartata Ubuntu MATE.

@wizzwizz4 Youtube has thumbnails separate from the video
you can pick which frame you want as a thumbnail and I guess that gets cached

6:28 PM
@Maltysen But if I press the "Delete" button on a Google service, surely it's deleted from the Google servers.

@wizzwizz4 not the thumbnail, I guess

If I remove my Facebook account, surely Facebook lose copyright ownership to my personal photos...
The privacy policy summaries lied!!!
Should've gone to TOS;DR.
