@BillDubuque I disagree with anyone claiming this website is welcoming, or even meant to be. We are a site intended for those who understand and produce good mathematics. Anyone else might as well be a leech unintentionally but harmfully taking advantage of those who create the quality answers on this site.
I am referring, of course, to the people writing horrible non-rigorous and overly elementary questions. This site wastes it time dealing with way too many “easy” questions. To when will we begin focusing on a common goal to construct a unified series of questions that actually work towards some reasonable mathematical goal. I would love to see such a project. Right now all I see is chaos.

@user64742 I refer only "this room" above, esp. various prior claims by active members of this chat room that it welcomes users across the entire political spectrum. There have been many instances in the past like that above - where users with views different from the popular view here have been unfoundedly attacked as above (some much worse). There have been improvements here - but there is still a long way to go - as is clear from above.

@rschwieb Read the chatroom info, it says For feeback/discussion/.../ for questions and answers on math.stack
@user64742 "Right now all I see is chaos." cmon.. This site is beautiful regardless of the massive deletions

@Bellatrix When demanding that others read something, please do the same yourself. The full description is "For feedback/discussion/requests of Close/Reopen/Undelete/Delete/Edit for questions and answers on Math SE (for Math Meta stuff go to chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/64952/math-meta-chat instead)".
rschwieb was clearly confused about what Bill Dubuque wanted with respect to the highlighted list. Was the goal to have the answer edited? deleted? I believe that rschwieb was requesting clarification.
(regarding which of the C/R/U/D/E actions was being requested)

@XanderHenderson rschwieb was up to his usual attempted baiting of his political opponents. He got annoyed that I didn't take the bait.

@XanderHenderson ah, then Edit was meant to be there

@BillDubuque I'm honestly don't care to get into that with you (or @rschwieb). I don't claim to be able to read either of your minds.

1:29 AM
@XanderHenderson But it seems you are attempting to defend unscrupulous behavior.

Let me also amend my previous statement to be more precise: "I believe, on the assumption that rschwieb's comments were made in good faith, that rschwieb was clearly confused about what Bill Dubuque wanted with respect to the highlighted list. Was the goal to have the answer edited? deleted? I believe that rschwieb was requesting clarification."
@BillDubuque I'm not going to engage in this discussion with you.

@XanderHenderson Let me also amend my previous statement to be more precise: Read the chatroom info, it says For feeback/discussion/.../ of Edit for questions and answers on math.stack

@XanderHenderson Please read more carefully. I had already stated quite clearly the context and motivation for my posting. rschwieb refused to accept my answers "at face value" continuing to insinuate that there were more sinister motives underlying my postings. I've lost count of the number of times that he has attempted to tarnish the rep of his political opponents that way.
Similar antics occur frequently here, e.g. Jyrki refusing to accept various users claims that they are not at all motivated by rep. This is quite insulting. It is frustrating to have to continually defend against these ridiculous unfounded accusations that are made against anyone who does not hold the majority view here.
Because of that I can not in good faith participate in Jyrki's Pearl Dive room. There is far too much bad taste left after his voluminous personal attacks on other whose views differ from his.
The political puerility of this room (and site) is worse than an elementary school playground. Unlike some other SE sites, there never emerged a strong mod team to rein in this damaging behavior. Though some improvements have been made - these problems still rear their ugly head even to this day.

Long ago I once held the belief that mathematicians were more rational creatures than the general public. If this site has taught me anything it is how staggeringly incorrect that assumption was.

@BillDubuque I will be the first to tell you. My mind is a raging hurricane of illogical chaos. If I can’t make sense of it half the time, I doubt any of you are any different. This is what it means to be human. The real problem with the site is that we haven’t begun purging the user base of those who seek to take advantage of other people. The real problem here is selfishness.
@Bellatrix the chaos I refer to is not rampant deletions. Why are there are not major projects consisting of several sub questions? Where are the people engaging in series of proofs or challenging questions designed to actually push boundaries in math. All I’m seeing is people looking to make quick rep or get their homework solved by an expert. I’m not seeing anything... exciting.

@JyrkiLahtonen . I hope that we can craft a good response for this user.

If I understand it correctly, this question asks why the multiplication with 3 is a bijection in the integer congruence classes mod 22. That is not my area of expertise but I strongly assume that this has been asked and answered before. Perhaps @BillDubuque wants to chime in?

Hey y'all, just wanted to drop a line in here (sorry if I'm misunderstanding the purpose of the room) but this question is being vandalised intentionally by OP (according to a now deleted MSE post, they wanted to delete it, but were unable to so they wanted to make the question useless instead). OP reverted my first edit to restore the question. [...]
and my second edit attempt was rejected and I'm not looking to get into an edit war.

@Rubiksmoose By MSE you mean Meta Stack Exchange or Mathematics? (Both Meta Stack Exchange and Mathematics Stack Exchange could be reasonably shortened to MSE.)

@MartinSleziak Oops, sorry. Meta.SE.

@Rubiksmoose As far as I know the correct action would be to raise a custom moderator flag on the question and explain the situation. You are right that the question does not make sense without the description. It should be rolled back to revision 4.

I did already raise one, but before the edit warring started. You're right though that it is probably enough.

The mods get also automated flag after a certain number of edits on a post, right? Is it 10 edits?

2:35 PM
@MartinSleziak IIRC 10 is correct

I have rolled back (hopefully to a correct version) and mentioned this in the Mods' Oficce?
@Rubiksmoose I suppose that your flag is still pending?

Ah thanks. It sucks not having edit rep on other sites lol
@MartinSleziak 'tis indeed.

I think that flag(s) and mentioning this in the moderators' chatroom should be enough to make one of the mods to look at the situation.

Cool thanks. I looked at pinging a mod, but y'all have quite a few.

Well, then probably the mods will take a look at the question when they handle your flag. I don't think that there's much else to do here.

2:39 PM
Agreed. Thanks for your help.

I don't know why this answer got 4 upvotes. If $k$ is not algebraically closed, then this argument fails, that is, the groups $k^*$ and $k^*\times\mathbb Z$ can be isomorphic (for instance, when $k=\mathbb Q$). — user26857 Dec 3 '18 at 19:49
