FWIW, a small sample of my invalidated votes tells that many of them were on deleted posts. I can live with the invalidation of the votes cast around the time of my resignation. I was seeing red then, and might vote differently now.

I had a chat with a moderator. If I got it right they prefer flags. So, if you want to downvote a repfarmer who should know not to pollute the site, consider flagging (also/instead). It may be that the flag stats can be used with the SE staff, but I don't have any inside information about that (and if I did, I would not be at liberty to tell).
