@GeorgeEdison Assuming you're using django.contrib.staticfiles, I've found django-pipeline to be good for mangling all your static files through compressors, etc
There are several different projects that all do roughly the same thing (although some are rotten, from before staticfiles was really a thing, so be wary of those) and YMMV.
Great, Project Sputnik is $50 more than the Windows version of the Dell ultrabook. Do they think we use Linux because we're wealthy? Of course 50 isn't that much more, but in the end, Dell's were not meant to last.
What, in the end, was the 'We want to make a laptop for developers. So, let's take something free, that they could do themselves, and market it for more.' And that's crazy. Even if the amount wasn't that drastic, I wouldn't pay a penny over Windows, and I'd try to find something without an OS that I could get for less.
I never want to have to pay for ubuntu, unless I'm donating, whereas trying to captivate and control a market that focuses on open source, and having the sharing of essentially everything, that's constantly expanding it's userbase is simply wrong. When you use ubuntu, you're using something free and open source, when you use it on Sputnik, you're using something you technically payed $50 dollars for, something that I feel is not benefiting Canonical, or any of the Ubuntu developers.
Alrighty, I can see I'm in need of sleep, sorry for the midnight rants, BBT (Maybe?)
Actually the question says it all, but let me tell you what I did, so u may find exactly what might have went wrong:
I have Win 8 installed on 500 GB HDD.
SO I shrunk it four times for:
partition 1 - the original partition containing Win 8 sys (118GB)
partition 2 - NTFS formatted for my data ...
I wrote the following
#!/bin/bash
cd ~/bin/red5-1.0.0
gnome-terminal --working-directory=. -x red5.sh
red5.sh is the script to run (this is java written media server).
My script above opens new terminal but with error message
There was an error creating the child process for this terminal

Question: Why is there a Christianity and Islam SE, and Hinduism and most likely other religions pending to become SE sites? Should there not just be a 'Religion' or 'Religion and Beliefs' SE site?
my kids like to watch Star Wars all day long. I always tell them it's fiction, and that the world is not such a bad place... but sometimes I am not so sure about that.
I am connecting to the system with Putty (this is Windows SSH client) then running some service in interactive personal mode.
For example this is a script to run freeswitch:
dims@nebulla:~$ cat freeswitch.sh
#!/bin/sh
cd ~/bin/freeswitch/bin
gnome-terminal -e ./freeswitch &

Right... but with the availability of pirated crap... it really does surprise me.. But I guess Soluto doesn't factor in whether they are authenticated versions or not...
@GeorgeEdison Heya, we found a bug in your stacktack plugin
@GeorgeEdison Marco sez "Okay, so the plugin needs to be fixed, because it's setting the option to "1" for secure in the DOM and not true the plugin checks for an explict true, not implicit "on" value"
Is there any mechanism, official or informal, to flow information generated from Ask Ubuntu into other Ubuntu help sites, like Ubuntuforums or Ubuntu Wikis?
For example, a Q&A from Ask Ubuntu to be turned into a tutorial in another site.
The question - How to automatically restart Tomcat7 on Ubuntu on system reboots [closed] was closed as off-topic by community on SO. I flagged the question for moderator attention requesting it to be shifted to AskUbuntu.
The moderator declined the request and left the comment I'm not sure its OT...
@jrg Does it have an epub version? I like to use the Nintendo DS to read it and I put those on a microsd and use the R4. With two screens you get a book like ereader.
I have Sony Vaio pcG-392M. The video is "GeForce 8400M GT". I use XBMC on it most of the time. Ubuntu 12.04. Kernel 3.2.0-33-generic-pae.
The problem:
Fan is on most of the time. CPU stays 70C, gets that hot minutes after the PC is turned on, the temp never goes down, even if the machine is idl...
Who said donuts can't be bacon flavored..."Nuts 4 Donuts in Princeton will not only stock the classic lines of donuts, Werdeniuk plans on having some wacky flavors such as maple, bacon, fruit loops, M & M, kit kat, and peanut butter and jelly."
Dude... I had to use a virtual keyboard on that other mainstream OS once to remove a virus because somehow a client gave me a computer where the virus had made the keyboard impossible to use...

What I think they should have done... it taken the back camera that is higher quality then the front facing one, and put that on the front and just gotten rid of the back one...
