This is a simple context menu extension that adds an option for selected text on a page to be searched on your favourite Stack Exchange sites.
The extension has two main components, the context menu items and the 'popup' page....

Attempting to expand on @Zoredache's answer, as I give this a go myself:
Create a new group (www-pub) and add the users to that group
groupadd www-pub
usermod -a -G www-pub usera ## must use -a to append to existing groups
usermod -a -G www-pub userb
groups usera ## display groups for user

when is ubuntu going to go back to a real desktop? "dash home" looks like an early microsoft abort*on. i've read a couple things "why", but not "when" (which seems inevitable based on user feedback)

Ubuntu's fault. Especially streaming video it struggles with. The intel atom pro cessor is screened, so you can download from a livecd and copy all your Ubuntu m achine for viruses, malware, and there shouldn't be any data loss one way or ano ther. It happens frequently, and it's driving me crazy: I'm using my touchpad and - for example - scroll through a list, and suddenly, the window will "jump" so that it's centered around my cursor, and it will follow my cursor!

I have a few versions of a program running on my server, and they all create logs. The logs are stored in directories like this:
/var/log/myprog-instance-1/myprog.log

Some nautilus, empathy etc windows are having some lost graphic elements:
But some apps such as Xfce Terminal still looks normal
Is this because of some package missing?

Ugh.. now phpmyadmin isn't working - installed lamp from tasksel. Then enabled modrewrite, then added a .htaccess file to /var/www to rewrite the url, then installed phpmyadmin with sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-auth-mysql phpmyadmin but my localhost/phpmyadmin does not see phpmyadmin
Can Juju be used on a single server to make it easier to deploy services like MySQL and any other Charms that are available? I understand that it is a tool to deploy and manage huge cloud servers but can it just as well be used on a single server to utilize the simplicity of charms?
Well, yes in that subordinates (or whatever they're called now) are in testing. No in that you'll still need a server for the Juju client to bootstrap on to
apt-get is really designed for deploying stuff on a single server
I just noticed that my profile on Programmers no longer shows my flag weight. Instead I see the number of helpful flags. At the same time, the definition for the Marshal badge has been changed to "500 helpful flags".
Does that mean there is no more flag weight? All that counts now is the number ...
Like Firefox having a Dash on right-click instead of a context menu with only four options. FF's Dash would have the four context options, but since it would be a Dash it would also have Bookmarks, add-ons etc... to access before opening FF and maybe even lists of files and documents that can be opened with FF.
The home folder would have a Nautilus dash that lists files, folders, extensions, functions etc...

Lenses mean you have to either have a million dashboard shortcuts or tab a million times through all the lenses. A firefox Dash/Lense would be easiest to open through the FF icon instead of tabbing to it in the Dash.

A quick list with app specific options that pops out like the dash. So the Dash now is general, but each icon in the Unity Launcher has it's own dash specific to it.
I don't see why this is confusing. We all know what the Dash is right? And we now what the Unity Launcher is right. And we know what icons are. I'm proposing a programs icon launches a Dash specific to that icon's app.
from top to bottom we have - Apps - Files - Ask Ubuntu icon, which is a shortcut to a lens, which is *exactly what you're looking for (if you're explaining it well enough)*.
way I understand what you're saying goes like this:
- Install app with unity dash thingy - Have icon in launcher for above dash thingy - Click icon in launcher, get shown above dash thingy.
I mean along the lines of right-clicking the Firefox icon opens a Dash specific to FF with bookmarks, installed add-ons, recommended add-ons, open in safe mode, remove from launcher etc... Instead of people having to place bookmarks on the desktop or opening firefox to go to them the could initiate a firefox dash lens through FF and open FF to the bookmarked page.
Or right-clicking Office to show a dash or lens or dash lens that shows documents and options to open office on that document instead of having to navigate through nautilus to find the document then tell it to open through Libre-office.
Then you would open the dash and tab over a few times which is no big deal, but I figure it would flow better if you just right clicked on Office to bring up that lens directly.
I'm just confused because the example thrown back at me is a single icon that basically is a general application lens. I'm not talking about any additional icons, I'm talking about lenses opening opening from the existing icons pertaining specifically to that app.
I guess it's a horrible notion if it can't even be explained. A friend of mine was complaining about how hard it is now to post bookmarks to the desktop, I thought if the FF icon opened a dash lens full of bookmarks and such it would be easier and he nearly kissed me.
I never used 11.04 so, in it right clicking firefox would bring up a firefox lens? Right clicking the home folder icon would bring up the files lens? Right clicking libre-office would also bring up a file lens?
If that's how 11.04 worked I think I might like it.
I am impatient and often don't close windows/tabs. and as far as a server goes - just out of principal I would always want it to have it's own hardware.
to me running a VM for dev would be acceptable, but for a server.. no way.
if I start with "text" on grub I can login and start the DE with startx, but if I let it boot to lightdm it gets stuck on a loop: nvidia logo > black screen > nvidia logo....
In addition to the other comments, you may find the -m (move) switch to git-branch helpful. You could rename your old master to something else, then rename your new branch to master:
git branch -m master crap_work
git branch -m previous_master master
feels good to know i have not only impacted the community by providing answers to users questions, but I have also contributed to improving the community itself
/me has taken so much away from the se network... should give something back from time to time
