I reinstalled dbus (which I probably messed up with some make install and uninstall) and then copied the dconf:/org/gnome/gedit/ branch of my user to the root dconf and now it works!
Solving problems feels good.
@Fabby So my system is not thaaat messed up anymore. Maybe I can save it!
