8:00 PM
@KazWolfe Yeah, I noticed :)

I don't think it's spam. The numbers didn't resolve to anything, and if they did, that would be the most creative and ineffective spam ever.

...Probably some kind of vandalism. Someone being bored to death.

Jos
It looks like one of those test posts you get in the review queue, with random additions and deletions, to see if you're paying attention.

@Jos maybe this one escaped into the real world, it was fed up with being bashed all the time :)

Jos
Scary thought.

8:11 PM
:)
You mean then there might be more, finding the hole in the fence?

Jos
You shouldn't anthromorphosize posts. They don't like that.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Power just went out.

@NathanOsman Candles?

Oh great.
And our power company is experiencing "higher than normal call volume".
Jus' great.

8:26 PM
You were seriously out of power? Ouch.

Whatsa matter? Did the moose get tired of running in the treadmill again?

MasterI have 2 ubuntu virtual boxes setup. 1 is a Victim, the other is the attacker (man in the middle). I've set up 2 way arpspoof but my driftnet won't display any pictures. When launching driftnet, it says the connection is closed. How I set up my current environment 2 ubuntu machines (12.0.4) 1 m...

Crews aren't even going to arrive on-scene for another 15 minutes...

9:03 PM
What is better then the best gaming keyboard ever?

@TheXed [redacted because nsfw]

@KazWolfe I am not at work..but I am guessing you said something along the lines of sex...?

no. I said "[redacted because nsfw]"
literally that

lol...

...and we're back.

9:14 PM
@KazWolfe anyways the answer is an original IBM Model M Keyboard hooked up to your so modern computer...

New year's eve

how to immediately get me to 100k rep: offer a free t-shirt at that point.

I can offer you a bounty of 49990

49989*

Haha, for a moment I thought you downvoted me :)
Oh wait, that is -2

9:18 PM
you can't go below 1 rep, so...

yeah, I forgot..

I am old enough to remember when Stack Exchange matched your bounties.
(You put in 100, they put in 100.)

Wow, really? When was that?

@NathanOsman that's awesome

@Zanna you need to be more awake than I am to read what he did :)

9:36 PM
Maybe that's my problem...

You are awake?

@Zanna Seems good. The OP has looked up the right package names for Ubuntu and chances are it will also work for Ubuntu. The answer isn't purely CentOS, in any case.

@terdon hmm... ok, but I want to edit all the non-Ubuntu stuff out of the answer

Not sure if you should.

@Zanna Huh? Why?
Nothing wrong with extra detail.

9:46 PM
O.o
Yeah my problem is that I'm awake, clearly

I mean, as long as the answer is applicable to Ubuntu, why would we mind if it also gives information for something else? Especially when the only difference is a trivial change in package name.
I'm sure we can find various answers that also give info for other systems.
he says without actually checking

But that stuff is off-topic
Waah
My world is upside down
Going to sleep

@Zanna Yes. But my thinking is that while it would be off topic to ask about CentOS and off topic to answer only about CentOS, providing a solution that is applicable to both Ubuntu and other systems is a net benefit to all involved, isn't it?
@Seth still around? Thoughts?

I don't know. I think not. Answers should be free from extra fluff. But I am really confused now so just going to bed, will review any subsequent discussion tomorrow meta.askubuntu.com/questions/16472/…

I'd edit it out, personally.

9:56 PM
OK, go for it. cc @Zanna

Netgear makes solid equipment but their changelogs are somewhat concerning.
> "1. [Bug Fix] Fixed the security issue."
O...kay, well, that's great. What issue?

Oh wait, it's not evening at your position on earth

Nope.
