I think this guy is ex-RHEL or something like that askubuntu.com/q/486833/295286
He's looking for csh in /bin
So i think he's from distro that has csh as interactive shell by default

hahaha 6 upvotes for you need to install the software fam ^_^
it's a great, thorough answer, but the gist of it is... if you wannit, you gotta get it

rhel dosen't do csh by default
I think OS X did once
only place I've seen that did csh by default was my old workplace

@JourneymanGeek FreeBSD uses it as default , freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/linux-users/shells.html
hmmm, why did i think of RHEL ?

@Zanna or if OP had github.com/nvbn/thefuck, then OP could easily install the missing package with one word

9:40 PM

hi

@Zanna if you remember that peter mortensen guy with his edits, here is something to read blog.superuser.com/2011/04/27/peter-mortensen-editor-in-chief

@edwinksl I remember him

i'm trying to install brcmfmac driver from here, any ideas what this means:
> For SDIO driver you need to copy the nvram for your system and place it in /lib/firmware/brcm. The nvram file name depends on the chip you have. The kernel log will tell you the exact file name. For the USB driver no nvram file is needed.

9:52 PM
rather then saying anybody good with x y z .. you can just ask the question .. no reply = no one knows

yes I know exactly what to do with that @jeremy
shall we go to a different room?

yes

I once had this peculiar issue, where the new wireless card would make any sort of video or music playback stutter. Plug back the old wireless card and it works flawlessly.
and it wasn't like video play back on the web. Even local videos would stutter

I had that issue in mint .. but not in Ubuntu
probably they were using different kernels

well, damn you, heemayl ! Posted answer in all languages . . . i was about to do python . . .

Q: How heavy is elementaryOS over classic Ubuntu?

brijsI feel that with all the additional apps pre-installed, and relying heavily on deriving elements from Ubuntu and Gnome, elementary must be heavy. So I would like to know an as-quantitative-as-possible analysis of how heavy the OS is on RAM (and may be the system in overall) compared to Classic-U...

@edwinksl done :)
though in these cases regular bash things are best
