hmm, I need to roll back a LP upload for 1 distribution. I have the .deb file and the .changes file for the version I need to go back to (from LP) but no tarballs. Any way I can do this?
I copied a package to trusty that wasn't compatible. I was hoping there was an easy way to reverse that (since the copied package replaced the existing package).
I guess I'll just have to rebuild it to be compatible though.

because I don't agree with "you have to reinstall" and people are going to see that first when reading the question - if they have done the same thing they might jump in and start reinstalling without need. You can remove it, click the little x button. But, it is completely up to you, if you think your comment should stay there, that is your choice

ah that controversion thing, yes it is hard to find an answer which fits all the possible cases but on the other sdide youre normaly writing an answer to an OPs exact question and for him it seemed to work i guess
yeah especially i not dabbled much in bash since my starting days, i have if already made a bash script for the tasks i need or im actually doing it in python :)

@Benny OK, and you're trying to write that bkp_tool yourself right ? Yeah, you can use argsparse API for switches. I've never used lists with optins,but i think you can convert string to list by split(",") function
@Zanna Even if you haven't graduated to while yet , start looking at it ;) It's a very frequent technique used in bash scripting, and there's whole lotta things you can do with it.

@TheXed Ain't that fun, huh ? Well, at least it's not during the semester. When we had power outtage , a lot of students got pissed, because printing servers went down, firewall went down , internet went down,so everything went down
So I am like, press the power button, if something goes bad let me know, then I know I am driving up there for more then just pressing the power button.
