@Serg thanks :)

@Zacharee1 That OT one doesn't look OT. Looks like a configuration problem to me.

What ever happened to fully writing out words?

10:51 PM
@Terrance wat do u mean

LOL

We should edit the Help Center and add an example question page
or "how to structure your question" page

@Zacharee1 seems so ;)
@Zacharee1 I suppose it's too much to ask that folks could have a look around at some upvoted posts etc

@Zanna if we create a template, it'll be much easier to follow
maybe we even add a default option to make a "structured" question, where it has prompts and you answer them and then it compiles them into a question?

meta it

10:56 PM
maybe later
how's this for nice?
"answer" lolol. Please read our Help Center. — Zacharee1 7 secs ago

Q: Dropbox installation error in Ubuntu 16.04

yurneroI'm a complete linux newbie but I'm trying Ubuntu 16.04 anyway. I Googled how to install Dropbox and followed these commands (source): cd ~ && wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | tar xzf - ~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd After this a Dropbox window popped up and asked for ...

@Zacharee1 hmm... maybe not

huehuehue
I just get so fed up with people who decide they're too good for the site format

however, flag and downvote applied...
@Zacharee1 indeed... the problem with getting fed up with something is being fed up with fresh people all the time... it's hard work trying not to be fed up with the clueless person who doesn't know they are doing that same old thing we are fed up of

OK, I think I am officially done editing this answer now: askubuntu.com/a/833076/231142

11:02 PM
@Zanna it's my personal belief that it's just common sense to at least click the link to any forum's/Q&ASite's rule/help page

if any one wants extra rep . . . .

Q: Is there a Disk mounter indicator?

sdaauWell - just because I cannot find this asked anywhere else on the net - is there something like a "Disk Mounter" applet for Unity interface, or are there any alternatives? (By 'alternatives' I mean: I wouldn't mind doubleclicking an icon, and have what used to be a toolbar applet start up as a ...

that's exactly what my udisks indicator does
so feel free to write an answer

@Zacharee1 lol I may need to start flagging comments

huehuehue?
@Zanna pls
ooops

11:05 PM
@Serg you deserve to get those points yourself! I wouldn't write it

@Serg agreed ^

@Serg I agree with both ^

we are very agreeing here

I agree! :P

11:06 PM
Couldn't resist

@Terrance deserving of a "callate"? >:P

Maybe
@Zacharee1 I VTCd that question you're dealing with him on.

@Terrance fine with me
He says he has experience with SE because of using SF
he has one answer over there that isn't an "I fixed it myself, oops" situation

@Zacharee1 flagged and downvoted, but I'd just ignore him, seems like he is just trying to get some attention or piss you off

@IanC it worked
and I'm gonna give it to him

11:10 PM
@Zacharee1 I actually think that OP does have a issue with the system, but it is not asked in the "question" of how to fix it. But yes, with the answer guy you are dealing with, he is off on this one. That is definitely NOT a good answer at all!

@Zacharee1 downvoted

he says he's going back to Spiceworks
The page that doesn't load community.spiceworks.com

arrivederci
don't even know what spiceworks is/was :p

Never heard of it

We're all the "rules guy" on SE. If you'd read the help center on any site, you would see it specifically states "[sitename] is moderated by you." — Zacharee1 7 mins ago

Answer flagged as rude or abusive

Answer??

@Zacharee1 time to not feed the troll

@edwinksl pls

11:18 PM
agreed

@Zacharee1 Sorry, his answer I flagged as rude or abusive. I know I wouldn't want someone coming in and laughing at my question.

ah
aww he deleted it

yes right on @Terrance

Yep, all gone!

not for me >:)

11:19 PM

sure knows how to ask a question

Nothing wrong with the question. I have no answer though. I have never worked with AWS.
Nor do I know what ZOHO is

I wonder if we really should worry about questions and answers with no activity for over 2 years.

you don't have to worry about it, but I'm doing that :)

:)
It's definitely not a good answer there. Maybe OP just needs to delete both since that is what they decided to do.

11:44 PM
huh, Nigeria has zip codes..
@Seth and so it begins (on AU) askubuntu.com/questions/833163/…

why wouldn't Nigeria have postal/zip codes?

@Zacharee1 That's so weird that it is happening to Windows and Ubuntu users. I have both on my system and I didn't have any issues at all with going up to the Anniversary edition. I do run my OSes though on two separate drives, so I guess that could be the difference.

@Zanna quite a few don't have zip codes hellowahab.wordpress.com/2011/05/24/…

sure... but I would assume yes rather than no myself :) shrug
