Q: Why is the Lenovo Thinkpad X301 not Ubuntu Certified?

DataDrivenThe Lenovo Thinkpads X100e, X201 and X220i are Ubuntu Certified. Why is the X301 not Certified? Never been tested for certification or failed the certification for some (which) reasons?

I was thinking it might be a good idea to change the title to "Why is my machine not Ubuntu certified"

but is it his machine? has he bought it yet?

ah well I did find a cool new screenshot tool while searching on making that image avive :D
@jokerdino you are annoying!!! >:DDDDDDD always coming with valid questions :(

lol, the way he phrased it, he hasn't bought it yet.

:(
going to change my answer >:D

the only answer i see is, it hasn't been tested or it has failed the test.
and the OP already knows all of this. then why the question?!?1

7:46 AM
yeah and since we do not know the exact testing procedure...
here I see a flaw in his reasoning here->

yes they should have!
if they do not already

They desperately need updates for 12.10

they do :-P
but they do not have a banner :X

They do not have "Make: Takkat" with "Model: Takkat's Gaming Box"
(only box on 12.10 I have)

@Takkat: lol, sounds like mine

7:59 AM
Component testing would lead to infinity...
@Rinzwind: they might get a better answer than their own as soon as the scanner worked for someone.

someone from sane devs has been working on that scanner since the beginning of the year ;)

<-- remembers his expensive SCSI scanner which would not work after upgrading 3.11 to XP because the company stopped making hardware devices or drivers - it might still work with Ubuntu

it will >:)

Well. It's pretty clear. 12.04 has more tags.
It's difficult not to be a smart-ass sometimes.

@maggotbrain I have the same problem :X

that's why we need to close more questions >:)
closed questions are automatically non-dupes >:D
I vote we close all questions tagged 11.10 and older :-D
