I have a game in unity but my scene load automatically when I start the game, but how can I let not load the game? bc I have a button I only want it to load when you press the button.

So I just wanna know how to stop the scene from loading automatically or when the app is loaded?

@Bálint the satisfaction of seeing your effort work and do things has gotta be the most satisfying part of games programming i experienced

@Hemlata i suspect you're going about this wrong. some scene has to load, so that the player can start interacting with your game. you can't just "not load a scene". it sounds like you have a menu with a "start" button on it or something and you want that menu to load but not the rest of the game yet -- that menu should be its own scene, that takes you to the gameplay scene.

oh that means I should have two scenes. One for menu and other for my main game and it should load the 2nd scene (main game) after the first scene (menu)?

Question: would it make sense to have Centars and Dragons civilized? As in dragons and centars living like the rest of my populations? (Humans, elves, dwarves, orcs etc.)

Sure, why not?

There's a modern fantasy series which has a whole bunch of magical creatures flee through a portal into a modern-day American city (can't remember the series) and it has dragons all the same -- they tend to be quite powerful and wealthy and influential, and are not to be entered into deals with lightly.

Heads up also, the common fantasy conflation of: not living in our society = nomadic savages = monsters = enemies (or = nomadic noble savages = outsiders but friends), is usually an unfortunate codification of racist stereotypes of tribal peoples such as the native american indians.

once that's taken off, you can begin to question what exactly makes someone civilised, and what exactly is necessary to be able to intermingle or be fully a part of that particular civilisation. they could be not a part of that civilisation, but still civilised, happy and living over there or nearby, and totally happy to talk & trade.

Hmmm.... well I was thinging that dragons run the transportation system for the rich (medieval times, so poor and middle class take horse) and centars are more intelligent than the dragons and fit into society better (since in the backstory, a centar founded the empire in which the game takes place: Centaria!)

i don't know if you mean intelligent dragons driving horses, or beast-of-burden dragons, but either sounds fine with me

(or both -- intelligent dragons as beasts of burden, because it's a living)

@doppelgreener that is what I intended. Pay a fair to the dragon and you get a airborne piggyback ride anywhere you want. Good answers though

@TheMattbat999 nice one then. consider whether you'd like it to have Always Been This Way (never any classical tyrannical dragons), or whether things changed and why, if it piques your interest to explore that.

@doppelgreener oh there are 3 classes of dragons: ones that are more creature like with little intellegence and very primative, those who plot against man, and those who live with man

Lizard men are somewhat intelegent, enough to forge weapons and armour and form tribes and communicate.
