I know it's hard to say without having played it yet but do you guys think not being able to control multiple vertices at once would be a deal breaker?

@Sie I'm out of the loop on what you're developing

Sie
Basically you are given a set amount of shapes and you are able to deform/manipulate those shapes by grabbing and pull or pushing on their vertices. With said mechanic you are able to solve puzzles, build tools, and etc.
A big challenge has been finding the best way to control it.

I'd say it's not a deal-breaker, but could be an extremely compelling option
(Game sounds hella interesting btw)

eyyy I have UVs working

Pip
that is the wrong pic :/
there we go
Need to clamp the pixels since they're blending horribly lol
but progress!

naw thats fine
ship it

Pip
lol
every tile 100% distinguishable

Sie
@DukeZhou Thanks.
@Pip Modern Art.

Pip
9:43 PM
lol
feels nice to be back programming dude <3

Sie
@Almo It's rather creepy...

hahah yeah

Sie
I tried viewing the source code to see if it would notice that...
It would be creepy if it knew that though.
I get this weird feeling it is watching me on my webcam.

it has to ask permission for that
I let it take a snapshot
it puts it on the screen

Pip
huh that's pretty cool

9:50 PM
i'm sitting by a window, thankfully nothing on my screen that got reflected is secret

Pip
that's real cool lol
I had it take a pic of my ceiling
back to tile mapping
AYY
ffs
the colors don't reflect the tile data yet, but it works (they're just random)
noice
There's some interesting wrapping issues on the edges
fix'd
Almost 2000 FPS on my 960 with 10k chunks, 10x10 tiles each
That's displaying every single chunk and tile too

Now remove a tile

Pip
10:07 PM
yeah that's not going to work yet lol
working on making the tiles correspond to actual data first
right now the texture is still just made of solid-color pixels that get stretched across the tiles
I'm working on implementing both the data structure for tiles and actual textures
have to figure out Unity's sprite atlases

hi guys any software to split spritesheet into sprites ?

Pip
something like this?
it packs your sprites and outputs XML you can load

i think he has a spritesheet and wants to split it up

Pip
ah I see
I don't have anything for that, sorry. I'd look into the settings of whatever tool you're using

yea i have liek 1700x100 sprite sheet and i do not want to play much with whoto shop to split into 17 sprites
is that tool have ant option to do that cuz now i only see sprite to spritesheet option
does it do opposite
Okay i found this seems to be working fine tnx anyway

Pip
10:23 PM
Holy crap Terraria has a lot of textures for each block
that's just for the dirt block
I wonder how they use all of the duplicates

11:15 PM
Okay guys this is bad thing jmsliu.com/products/sprite-sheet-decomposer need something else something who do not effect quality of image , cuz that one is working but is effect quality and change some colors

Looks like a lot of variations. Terraria also uses a shifted Grid for their rendering
Like. One tile is 4 data tiles
There is a good writeup on this somewhere
I forget what the name is
@yahoo5000 I use unity :l
There is also shoebox
Requires Adobe air I think
But it is awesome

11:35 PM
i have tried download this but download just stuck

I used it a lot
Don't know what to tell you
Install air runtime first
Read the install instructions in that link

i did with another browser now its ok ty
for some reason firefox stuck on download
ty jg

Cool
Np

is there are any options to set sprite size ?
cuz my sheet is 1700x100 and i need 100x 100
