The details change from one Facebook trend to the next, but the idea is always the same.

People think typing words into a social media website somehow accomplishes something aside from giving themselves a smug sense of self satisfaction.

Doing nothing at all is better than doing nothing but posting on facebook, because when you do nothing at all, you don't feel like you're part of the solution. You know you're not doing jack.
