Re licences - yes, I can point OPs to the FAQ on meta - I just think something similar should go onto the page I referenced earlier - blunt comments are off-putting for newbies and could lead them to never coming back!
I want dba.se to be welcoming and when (newbie) questions do not comply with guidelines, they should be shown where and why it's off-topic. Anyway, I have other hills to die on - it was just prompted by that circumstance...
