OP vandalised their own question. Should the edit be rolled back?
Another one's changed their question substantially, even though there was already an answer to the original question:

Q: Find a longest sequence that doesn't have duplicates inside

JhonI have database with Id - autoincrement, and Text- varchar. How do i find lowest Id where Text of record is duplicated later. EDIT My database is simple +---+--------+----+----+ | Id| Text |Col1|Col2| +---+--------+----+----+ | 1 | adf |1 |0 | | 2 | qwer |5 |1 | +---+--------+--...

Ah, never mind, the answerer has posted an update to address the change

@AndriyM you forgot to VtC:
Just like that? You want us to do this for you and then you get good marks? Please be fair and try to solve this on your own first. It's all right if you have difficulties that you can't overcome, but if you want us to help you with those specific difficulties, please explain what they are. In other words, please show us what you've attempted so far and where you're stuck. — Andriy M 9 mins ago
@AndriyM I did it (and tried to fix what currently can be fixed)
@TomV their profile contains a big legal warning
dunno if it is mandatory for MS employees or she is like that Oracle guy
@dezso I did. Fixed, thanks. :)
> The Rob Farley's answer was what i asked originally in question but it wasn't what i really needed.

I am tempted here to roll back, too
did this instead:
If you realized you had a different question, then just roll back to the original state, accept Rob's answer and post this as a new one. Otherwise, your question is a moving target, which might discourage people from answering. — dezso 19 secs ago

@MaxVernon or that 'null' != null is neither true nor false. But null ;)
Inappropriate?
Maybe you are helping this person – or maybe you are making them a disservice by indulging their laziness, I don't know. — Andriy M 31 secs ago

dba.stackexchange.com/questions/133527/… anyone with karma want to close with a duplicate question
11:34
@hobs Not sure what you mean. If you provided a DBA.SE link, the question could be closed as a duplicate.

@AndriyM sorry I posted the duplicate link in the comment in that link
:D
I probably should have just posted it here

Q: Microsoft SQL Server Error: 18456

merazuuI am getting this error while trying to connect to the sql server. Microsoft SQL Server Error: 18456 Can anybody tell me what the error code means?

@hobs I did see the link, but the linked question is on SO, not on DBA.SE. Closing as a duplicate cross-site doesn't work.
We'd either need to move the old question over here or the new question over there.
12:10
Ah, thank you for further clarification, I misunderstood
let me check if I can find one on here, because that is a common question
Yep, I already was trying to find the most generic response since they didnt include a state

Q: About linking fields in two tables

Irfan ul HaqI am using SQL Express 2014. I want to make a table with ItemID and ItemName. Then in the second table when I select ItemName, ItemId field should be filled with correct ItemId for that ItemName or when I select ItemId, ItemName for that ItemId should appear. Thanks for help, I am very new to thi...

I think this is a case where the OP needs to go and read a tutorial.
14:19
On the other hand, the problem you are facing seems to be of the kind that can be easily resolved by just reading a tutorial. Since you are very new to SQL, that's probably all you need at the moment. We accept questions from novices here but please do your homework first: let us know what you've tried and what specifically you are having trouble with. — Andriy M 17 secs ago
Please let me know if that is not acceptable ^^^

Quick question. If you were to load a table with 500 Million rows. Would your remove the clustered index then add it afterwards or leave it in tact?

15:58
i have no tact
@swasheck So you can't leave your clustered index in it then.

Is anyone able to get to questions right now? All the question links take me to the ASPX error page.
@TML I got some errors, but now seems to be working
We know - they are working on it

Q: Can't access questions of many (most) sites

MarkWhen I goto http://meta.engineering.stackexchange.com/ and click on any of the links for a question, I get the oops page. So, per the page's request, I'm reporting it here. It's not just that question. It's every question on that site, and also on many other sites.

A fix has been rolled out and is currently deploying. We should be back to your normal programming soon.
SQL Server 2016 FTMFW
"back to your normal programming"?
They're strange people.
Google seems to be acquainted with the phrase. Giving no hint of its origin, though.
TV I think. When a technical fault interrupted a programme.
19:50
Oh, that programming. Could be. Makes sense, at least
That's my assumption: weak play on words.

Hello Everyone,

Why does Oracle create an extra table with a few more columns each time I export my rel schema ddl... Any idea why they do that?
If I create table name, oracle then adds name_IN
22:57
name_JN I mean.
