Something wrong?

hey there @Mithrandir24601

I tend to think "hey you could go write some in the chat", and then I write "hello" and go do different stuff again
how are you folks?

alright here, still hoping for @James to poke his head in

2:36 PM
@Shalvenay he'll likely poke everything in here onces he sees that

2:56 PM
@Shalvenay rytsas! Just on way back from skating :)

3 hours later…
5:31 PM
What enchantment would you put on a sword?

@Mephistopheles whatever is necessary to finish the job

@dot_Sp0T That sounds a bit over-specialized

@Mephistopheles what is the goal for the sword?

A sword is a highly specialised thing

5:47 PM
@Mithrandir24601 Yes, if you aren't creative enough

There are very few uses for a sword that can't be done better by a different tool.

@Mephistopheles A sword is created for a very specific purpose. Just because you can adapt something or use it for something other than its original purpose doesn't make it any less specialised

@Mithrandir24601 You're no fun
But, I mean, you can flip it around and batter people with it

That's is both difficult, dangerous and less effective than using a rock.

This allowed gods from pagan religions in the ancient world to thrive, feeding off of the worship of mortals from various empires. The weakn...

@Bellerophon No, it's a valid technique, known as the mordhau ('murder strike')

6:46 PM
@Mithrandir24601 thank you
@Mithrandir24601 yet if I had to choose between flipping a sword around, and selling it for a halberd, I'd go for the halberd

@dot_Sp0T Yes, sure (unless a halberd would be too long or something for whatever reason)

5 hours later…
11:52 PM
@Mithrandir24601 Umm, get a shorter halberd. Although at a certain point it's basically a battle axe.

@Gryphon I mean, yeah, if a longsword is an appropriate length, then if you want a halberd of the same length, a battleaxe is what you'll get :P
Or at least, something as long as a battleaxe (I'm not sure if the head of a battleaxe is the same as that of a halberd or not)
