I am going with a commanding officer on some cluster of spacecraft, preferably in the Outer Solar System to avoid the meatgrinder Mars and the Belt are.
So, I am taking command of either the UN's Saturn Cluster to wipe out any and all rebel forces or take command of the Titan Federation's 2nd Cluster fighting in orbit around Enceladus.
@dot_Sp0T No, I think that is just how it rendered. On the original it is all black.
@dot_Sp0T Shield to protect the pilot from shrapnel and pressure loss and to hold in emergency air if the ships hull is damaged. I haven't decided how they see yet. Possibly projections onto the screen.
@JDługosz About your dancing problem: if triangles are the norm maybe they develop some kind of system to dance with two people and change after some time. This would mean three rounds with two partners while the other one is "out" and probably changing which pair starts whenever they dance. They would probably establish some kind of norm as to what would be a "fair" constellation if you want it to be truly balanced or may associate the ordering with something else in their life. Like age.
Though I believe that this kind of slow dancing would be rarer and faster dances would be favoured.
@dot_Sp0T We had... two people trying to take control in character. I never got the vibe that it bothered anyone (else I could have opened a discussion) but everyone "lost interest."
You know, it is said that in the lands on the far side of Hell they dance a dance of three partners. I was taught it once 4,000 years ago but sadly I have forgotten the steps.
