@Feeds Please let it be!

2 hours later…
02:45
An awaiting assessment test for software job has me anxious about it.
Anything I need to try and panic study in hopes of magically learning what I need?
@IvenBach If you have an idea what the position will include I would start there...
> Computer Science fundamentals (Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, databases) and test cases
I don't feel adequate based on the job description. That will likely be the case regardless of the requirements.

5 hours later…
07:55
@IvenBach Do you know anything about those?

5 hours later…
12:33
Het morning everyone :)
12:49
Hey*
Have a nice day!

2 hours later…
@SimonForsberg Honestly it would be way better than Server2 :P
15:46
@skiwi I think I understand basics of it. Honestly I don’t know because I’ve mostly figured things out as I went along.
@IvenBach Like most of us and like I'm still doing
I would not put you in a senior position, but a full time junior would do you so much good. Like being full time in it get you to learns so much things so fast ahah
16:07
In part of the description it lists "Mentor junior team members ..." which has me worried they're overestimating what I know.
@IvenBach They might but I'm sure you're understimating what you know.
Probably. Until I've actually done something I'm hesitant to say I can.
@Marc-Andre Hey! What's wrong with the name "Server2"?
I don't know if I'll ever get up to Simon's level :wink:.
@SimonForsberg It feels generic. It feels like there might be a 3 one at some point etc. Zomis games feels specific to you and your "brand"
@IvenBach Just start a project or participate in one!
16:11
@IvenBach What level is that?
@Marc-Andre Server2 Zomis Games could use all the help it can get.
@IvenBach What do you want to do?
I have mine too @IvenBach :)
And there is a side side project to create a bot for my slack channel to do like Duga is doing
In C#
[Zomis/Games] Zomis renamed repository
2
Might be a good opportunity for you or @brug for the matter
@Duga Or should it be called Zomis/ZomisGames just for clarity?
@SimonForsberg I would not change the repo name but your "branding" on the client should use ZomisGames
16:16
@Marc-Andre And all the documentation...
and the packages
and... better create an issue for this
> The project is now known as "Zomis' Games" and any place "Server2" occurs should be changed to "Zomis' Games" or just "Games" or "Server", depending on the context.

Definition of Done: "Server2" does not appear anywhere.
@Marc-Andre I had been contributing to Rubberduck. Life got in the way when mom died and I had got to help start taking care of grandma.
Then get over your feeling of inferiority, it's bit too high for my taste at the moment :P
@SimonForsberg Uber-level-dev. From my outside view it appears you know so much more that I do.
@SimonForsberg For how many years do you have been programming?
Like with a job in it at least?
16:21
@Marc-Andre @IvenBach I started when I was 12, then it has been at least a major hobby ever since. So 21 years. Started actually working with it in 2011. Started working full-time with it in 2015.
> Since the Invite system was changed recently ( #63 ), the "New Game" button has stopped working.

It should show some options for setting up a game, both generic and game-specific, and then after these steps actually create the invite.
@IvenBach I thank you for the compliment. Took me 21 years to get here. I hope it will not take you the same amount of time.
Maybe in 21 years @IvenBach will start a Server3 project.
I hope to be retired by then.
Still doesn't stop me from starting one though.
Exactly
I both hope and think that I will still be writing code after retirement
Although in a way, maybe it would be nice to just leave the coding life behind and live life at some point too
Your weekend descriptions already have you living life.
16:29
Well, some of them maybe, but not that much these days.
There's still plenty of stuff I would like to do
As to what I want to do? I'm not sure. Having others I can learn from for dev work is one I've wanted for a while.
Isolation learning wasn't very productive for me.
16:44
> Best would be to use SVG or CSS to make the cards.
Just so happens that I found this codepen that has already done this: https://codepen.io/jacob_124/pen/vdYdPX

A Set-card should be written as a reusable stand-alone component. It should be given one property, "card" that has the following properties and possible values:

- count (1, 2, 3)
- filling ("filled", "clear", "striped")
- shape ("ellipse", "squiggly", "diamond")
- color ("green", "red", "purple")
@IvenBach Well, if you want to learn stuff about Kotlin, Vue or Java, I can help you out.
instead of doing factorio friday we could do coding fridays we're we hop on discord to talk while we code and question etc
2
17:05
That would be more productive.
Thanks for the offer Simon.
17:31
Monking!
Hey @Phrancis
Our statistics dashboard (at work) not working today, I hate running blind
18:16
Well, finally got the stats dashboard back, I only had to request the page like 50,000 times, kept getting ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
18:37
@Phrancis Do you have any experience with marking reports from datasets?
@IvenBach I don't
Mkay.

2 hours later…
20:29
@Marc-Andre I love this idea.
@Marc-Andre My C# journey is currently on hold. I'm learning Java in school and don't want to try to learn them both in parallel.
@brug Well you can do it Java too don't care don't have much done on it ahah
@SimonForsberg Well I have been learning Java these days, so I may take you up on that. (If the offer is open for me as well, that is.)
@Marc-Andre ahh.
20:50
But you should find something you care about

1 hour later…
22:15
@brug It is, yes.
It's open to anyone in this chat.
@Marc-Andre Every day is coding day!
