Found that in the docs: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/t-sql/functions/…. Not really an easter egg. Still I'm kind of surprised that got through.
@IvenBach Didn't know about TRY_PARSE but I suppose it makes sense to have a parser that just gives you NULL back if it can't figure it out, rather than say raising an exception

I will swear that Factorio cheats.
Random critters pop up in already cleared area. It's walled off with walls and lasers.

@Marc-Andre I don't know what happened, I woke up yesterday and knee was hurting. Then it got worse during the day (I did go for a walk and did do a few exercises, which might have been stupid)
@IvenBach Are you sure it's completely sealed off? Is the area also covered by radar?

imo popups/toasts are excellent for site notifications if you just ensure that the user does not have to act on them.

> When playing Hanabi on mobile it looks... crap.

- Your own cards are packed really tight.
- Played and discarded cards should be shown as rows instead of columns.
- Reset button action at the bottom is not always visible (especially not in portrait mode)

This is easily testable locally by starting a local Hanabi game and enabling device mode in the browser.

WE got snow during the night... Like come on!
@Marc-Andre Moahahaha
By the way Good morning everyone :) Have a nice day !
13:09
Have a nice snowy day @Marc-Andre!
13:35
It's not even melted yet... :(
13:49
if a server has mods do you need to download them yourself or on connect it could prompt you to download the mods?
14:12
@Marc-Andre It prompts you to sync the mods and handles it very smoothly
@SimonForsberg Nice :)
We should plan mods in this room and update your servers with mods
Similar to if you play one game with mods and one without mods, then there is a button in the "Load Game" window at the top that says "Sync mods with save", click that and the game will activate the right mods corresponding to that save
@Marc-Andre Yay!
A requirement by me is to use some of the mods I have made :)
Visual Signals - allows you to see some values wherever you are, like "how much oil do we have", "how many transport belts do we have in stock" etc.
Lamp Placer - for ordering robots to place lamps at even distances, for brighting up the world
What is Missing - great help for finding bottlenecks
Then there's some utility mods that I often play with:
FNEI - "Factorio Not Enough Items" (similar to Minecraft NEI) for finding recipes for "how to craft XYZ" or "what is XYZ used for"
Helmod - for planning sections of your Factory, it can tell you for example how many assembling machines you need of different kinds you need to produce a particular science pack
All the mods above are not anything you even notice unless you specifically click some buttons for example.
Then there are other mods that I have started playing with:
Squeak Through - to pass easier through pipes and stuff, can be considered cheating but it allows you to easier walk through pipes or between buildings
LTN - Logistics Train Network, useful if you aim for a big map with lots of trains
Then there's various mods that massively affect the recipes in the game.
Bob's Mods (a collection of mods)
Angel's Mods (also a collection of mods)
^^ these two are often used together, they do make the game much more complex (even setting up the first two science packs will take a few hours)

Krastorio 2, a single mod that changes some recipes in the game, not as complex as Bob's and Angel's. It makes the game a bit more challenging but not too crazy.
Apr 22 '17 at 20:15, by Simon Forsberg
Tin + Lead --> Solder Plate
Raw Wood --> Resin
Solder Plate + Resin --> Solder
Tin + Copper Wire --> Tinned Copper Wire
Coal + Water --> Carbon
Tinned Copper Wire + Carbon --> Basic Electronic Components
Circuit #1 + Basic Electronic Components + Solder --> Circuit #2
^^ Bob's mods in a nutshell.
Bob's mods is probably a bit too much, but if you want a bit more challenging game then I'd recommend Krastorio 2.
Or, if you're really up for a challenge, then you'd of course play the combination of Bob's + Angel's + Omni mods. I have myself not yet finished such a run.
Or, if you're really hardcore, then there's the Höllenmodpack ("Höllen" means "Hell" in German). Then it adds Pyanodon's mods into the mix which makes the combination of Bob's Angel's and Omni even worse xD
So there's plenty of mods to choose from :)
There's also a mod called "Transport Drones" which allows you to build logistics in a different way, you'll have ground-based robots that deliver stuff through roads. I haven't played with this one yet.
I'll shut up now and let @Marc-Andre give his thoughts about Factorio mods :)
14:54
@SimonForsberg I won't have time to respond for like 1 hour or two so don't count on me.
@Factorio Best update ever ^^
@SimonForsberg If it could be this easy
yep we fix it that's it no more code needed
15:18
@Marc-Andre Seems to have been a massive bug with the versioning. forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=84862 The game thought that the game version was 0.18.65535 for some reason
@SimonForsberg I'm up for doing a modded playthrough. I have tried Krastorio though I didn't get very far. It was fun. I am currently playing a game of LTN and Cargo Ships. I haven't gotten to the point of unlocking trains and ships yet so I'm excited.
@brug I've never used ships, I always just go with landfill :D
If you need any help with LTN let me know, it can be a bit tricky sometimes
Will do
15:46
@SimonForsberg Completely sealed off with wall + laser.

Monking!
@SimonForsberg Since I've never done a playthrough yet, I would say Krastorio 2 with utility mods :)
@IvenBach Weird. I suspect you have a hole in the defense somewhere. That has never happened to me. Also be sure to cover the area with radar, I have a feeling it might appear otherwise as well.
@Marc-Andre Agreed. I'll gather around a bunch of utility mods and then start something up. Should I replace the old server with this, or run two servers? @IvenBach @brug
I vote replace
@SimonForsberg Lemme save hoard the current server. I've become a bit over-attached to it since it's my first one.
You can probably create a save and then play it offline...
18:03
@brug @IvenBach Yes indeed, if you log in to the server and just save the game, you will get a local copy of the game.
> Daddy why do you get to play Factorio during the day when you're supposed to be working?
@IvenBach BUSTED
:P
those kid
@SimonForsberg Saved a copy of it. You can now mod a new server for us.
> Daddy is only logging in to save.
@IvenBach Ahaah I know :)
I'm actually glad she asked the question. She knows whatever rule I apply to her I also apply to myself.
18:26
And when would be a good time to start the new server?
> Unsure if "Wrong people are marked as accepted" has been fixed or not, only time will tell there.

"Invites and games could share IDs" has not been fixed, and is skipped for now. Should be easier to change later.

[Zomis/Server2] Zomis pushed commit 3202b0cc to master: Update TestScreen to test animations instead of invites (and fix build)
[Zomis/Server2] build for commit 3202b0cc on master: This commit looks good
18:46
@Duga Of all the stupid reasons a build could fail...
@SimonForsberg What happened?
18:59
@Marc-Andre I moved a file to another directory, which was used in an old version of the TestScreen, but I had modified that screen locally without committing it - because it's just for testing. So my locally was working but when Jenkins tried to build the project the TestScreen was pointing to the wrong location of the moved file
> This is now fixed, together with #63
> Might need a bit (a lot) of testing, but I now consider this done.
You know, is it last week, you were worried about your motivation?
Whelp. I finished my Programming homework for the week.
@Marc-Andre Something like that...
@brug Which means plenty of time for Factorio?
@brug He's tempting you. Don't do it. Get ahead on your programming coursework.
19:11
@SimonForsberg I still have pre-Calc
@IvenBach Thanks for looking out. But I am ahead. And it will all be that easy moving forward...
I'm definitely going to be playing some Factorio though. Just let me know when we are doing the joint server so I can join in.
@brug I have prepared everything so I am ready to launch the server whenever so is desired.
I'm fine with starting it now. I can catch up later
I miss the days where I was always ahead of tasks.
Being perpetually behind everything is really fatiguing.
The mods will be: Even Distribution, FNEI, Helmod, Krastorio2, Lamp Placer, LTN, LTN Content Reader, Squeak Through, Transport Drones, Visual Signals, What is Missing
I would like the history to point changes like in a git commit
@Marc-Andre What history?
Oh, chat history?
19:21
@SimonForsberg This history
LTN_Content_Reader --> LTN Content Reader
And yes, I agree. Considering the lack of love chat gets though, I don't see that happening
> There is some code that's old and obsolete and no longer used (or should no longer be used)

- How to resume and observe games has changed
- Invite system has changed
@SimonForsberg Oh I know !
19:42
@IvenBach Agreed.
20:08
My current factory with the bus build I was mentioning.
@brug I'm so proud right now
You have a bit of tight space here and there though
For example, for electronic circuits you might want to have a full belt of copper cable one day and one separate belt of iron plates.
20:35
I have struggled to find a good expandable solution to green circuits.
My intention is to add setups like the one above downstream rather than expand on the one that exists.
ohh upstream might be better. Or I can ship it in via train.
20:52
@brug Yes, considering how many green circuits you will need, shipping by train is a preferable choice.
The only good expandable solution to green circuits is to build them at another location xD
[Zomis/Server2] Zomis pushed commit 832bde95 to master: Add TreeViewGame which can be used as a game component to debug view
@SimonForsberg Thank you for confirming my planned solution then. In my experience, probably more than one alternate location.
[Zomis/Server2] build for commit 832bde95 on master: This commit looks good
@brug Depending on how efficient you want your base to be, but yeah.
The same probably goes for smelting and stuff
Maybe even red circuits.
It all depends on how much science per minute you want to consume.
In theory, just one assembling machine for electronic circuits could be enough :) But things would take tiiiiiiiiime
I want to keep up with demand. I've seen some pretty expansive set ups for green chips when I was googling, but they were all spaghetti. way too many interweaving parts. I want straight lines...

[Zomis/Server2] Zomis pushed commit 46d06db0 to master: Fix server-side bug with duplicate names #26

2 hours later…
23:34
@brug Regarding the circuits setup, you are aware that you can load products from one factory immediately into another, right?
yes. I hate how clunky some of the designs doing that are.
With three inserts outputting from a single automation machine of coils...
