well crap...the paragraph form and sentence structure is similar...but I see your point. I guess TL;DR isn't a very valid excuse — Chad Baxter8 mins ago
@DavidFreitag of course they did - they don't represent common voters, they get their funds from large corporates - who want net neutrality to go away
@DavidFreitag well, no. My car will out accelerate most Lambos in the 0-60 phase. And has a top speed of over 195. But it corners incredibly well. For me dV/dt is the only important performance
I use its acceleration potential all the time. Its velocity potential, not so much :-)
Day 1 - demolition of my entire bathroom, including man weilding hammer to break up every tile! I wanted that job :-(. Day 2 - new bathroom walls and shower tray.
Day 3 - tilers coming today. Jim and John. A double act...
The problem also existed on replies. The reply was at the start, then a newline and then whatever I was typing.
I could also manually remove the newline.
It happened in all chatrooms I was active. And disappeared everywhere at the same time.
Unrelated: I had a serious "I want to hit someone" moment yesterday.
I give some private extra lessons, the stuff they were thought was full of errors. Like five lines of code that would not compile ever because of a shitton of extra spaces, random letters missing, "l" and "I"'s switched out.
Also they were thought to do things the SQL-injection prone way.
If I ever have a coworker that writes code that can cause SQL injection I am going to start shouting at that person. And I am not going to care if there is someone else that can hear it or not.
Anyone knows how credit card info is encoded when send through a card read / what encoding might this be: 664518E36BB71C066xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx3C7CC4798C294CA460F0D136F4A
@RoryAlsop Nope. There is also no excuse for teaching that to students as the correct way to do it. And nowhere pointing out that it is a bloody disaster if you do things like that.
@Jonathan Y'know, I hope that is an example code, because if that is your actual credit card code that might be abused. This room is google indexed, so anyone can access it and then later misuse it.
@CodesInChaos Possibly. I'm listening to a random list I clicked on bandcamp, once I'm through I'll pick another. I haven't heard anything that would surprise me on a metalfestival.
I'm absolutely not speaking about black or death metal or anything like that, but more bands like Glittertind or Otyg or one song made me think of Tyr for a bit.
It's why we surprise people - we are rock, with metal, and techno, and stuff - some of it is vaguely heavy (This Kiss or Hammstein) but we get to play at Industrial, rock, metal and even dance festivals :-)
@Arperum now I need to google Otyg - never heard of them
@Arperum Mainly the videos for the games I play. I am the Night (Batman Arkham Knight), Wake the White Wolf (Witcher 3), All As one (Dragon Age: Inquisition), probably others because I watch them on youtube where they got the game mentioned
Who am I kidding, you will never find anyone half as amazing as her again, no one will ever want you ever, and you will remain alone for the rest of your days. Forever.
@RoryAlsop well indeed, I was kind of thinking she might end up being a companion at some point... they definitely set-up a return for a later episode!
The really stupid thing is that it insists on having all the updates before pushing the service pack that will turn it into Windows 8.1, and also replace all the files that have been just updated.
If you use a USB stick for that purpose, it could be better (think of the security of the USB in this case: malware for example)
However, you have to think about security of your machine beyond that question full disk encryption systems are not that perfect as an attacker usually tries to atta...
@ThomasPornin A stalking would imply that I'd browse his profile and read every single answer he posts. However, he seems to answer every single fucking question which means that I get to read his amazing answers.
