@whiletrue hi, so there's a couple of potentials. Some questions get semi-randomly tweeted out by the site Twitter account. also questions that go on the "hot questions" list will attract views
@Flyk well people would've known they were using it, but storing it unprotected means that hacker gets access to your phone and gets your fingerprint... a credential which is kind of hard to revoke
@RоryMcCune of course, because Google tried to make Android stuff run on Windows and it scared Microsoft into thinking that Google were attempting to embrace/extend/extinguish them
@whiletrue essentially ToR sends your traffic through what's called an "onion network" which means that the IP address seen by the end website will not be your address, nor should it be easy to connect it to you (as long as you don't do something like log into the website with a known user name...)
@Flyk which they will be, it's an ecosystem war now
and since there hasn't been a proper antitrust lawsuit in some time, and Microsoft finally realized that they certainly won't be protected by the law in the same way as their competitors were during the 90s so they have to act fast
I have a lumia that I bought for testing Windows 10
because if I don't do this sensible approach, when it comes to contract renewal time I will end up with a windows phone and an android phone for no real reason other than wanting one
@JukEboX What about it is unsafe? The circuitry in my inverter is the exact same as yours, but mine cost a whopping $15 including the slavaged battery.
@JourneymanGeek well the deal works but the coverage is also paramount for me and my family
@DavidFreitag just my typical non-enginneeerring mind not hassling you. As long as it works for you. You have a gauge which shows your draw and a circuit for if the power goes out?
@DavidFreitag That's the advantage I have. My old UPS was 60 pounds. My new one is only 30 and can monitor much better and easier to move plus more plugs.
@JukEboX Mine has one main 15A output which I run to an off the shelf surge protector strip. It never moves, but if I had to it wouldn't be a major hassle since it's all on a small cart
@Xander I could, and the resulting 54V output would relieve some of the stress on the main transformer.
It was something I wired up with a small 12V scooter battery in high school for gits and shiggles. It has since grown with more batteries from a local salvage yard and a beefier circuit to handle that much current output.
@ThomasPornin Pretty much all of page 2 and 3, Google translate isn't really helping me, I think I might need someone who speaks both english and german and is also familiar with nixie tubes.
In page 2, the text appears to say that the filament draws 80 mA, and an extra 15 to 22 mA depending on how many lights are on (22 mA when all 7 are on).
Oooh...."All-new receiver incorporates advanced military technology called Digital Signal Processing (DSP)" Apparently DSP is military technology now. I had no idea.
Maybe this means I can use my A/V receiver as a weapon.
ya know we now have quite the range of animal based avatars in here, from bunnies to bears to ponies to llamas, to tiggers to dogs and well I'm not sure that adipose count...
@JukEboX obviously only group communications, it goes without saying that I expect all one on one communications to be undertaken without underwear on...
