@AviD Sin recommends there 1.35-1.4v MAX with 85-90C MAX for Air/Water... that should land you stable somewhere at 4.7+
@TildalWave hmm, I have 85-90C @4.5, with default voltages. Upping the volts would only make it hotter, right?
@AviD for sure ;) but that seems a bit high temp to me, maybe you should wait for thermal paste to settle? when did you assemble it?
in parts... the paste I did a week or two ago.
strange... could be you're suffering same problem with mugen I did... how did the contact surface look like?
@tildal - regarding your wonderful image

A: IT Security SE Logo Wallpaper

Iszi@TidalWave made this riff from @Jin's original design, to include one of our dearly beloved mods. The full image size is 2560 x 2048.

how easy would it be for an equivalent using this image?
23:07
@TildalWave looked okay. I did clean it well.
or at least the face
:-)
washed the thing with soap and water.
@RoryAlsop well the hair is a bit tricky, but I can sure play with it and see what I can come up with ;)
@RoryAlsop haha!
I AM BELOVED.
6
@RoryAlsop I think that it'll have to be till your groins :))
23:12
I have alternatives :-)
should do a mashup, of Tigger wearing the Dr. Mayhem mask...
hahaha#
that would be more disturbing than usual
@RoryAlsop And that is why it must be done.
@AviD maybe I gets da gimp out this weekend - we'll see what can be done...
hehe
23:17
@TildalWave Yeah, what @Avid said. It depends on your environment. I dust mine once a month or so, as it tends to collect quite a bit.
@RoryAlsop I think I'll manage with the surfer version... should look cooler that simply replacing logo ;)
so @TildalWave this is interesting, just those changes you said - force the C's to enabled instead of auto - did some to lower the temp by a couple of C at stress.
@AviD yar that's same as I observed too
strange. C states should not have any effect at stress, its only at idle.
any other stupid tricks like that? I also shut off Turbo (not sure about this...), and the IGFX.
strangely, the latter prevents me from installing Lucid.
@AviD enable EIST? Turbo won't work so off... and the integrated graphics if you switch it off you'll probably save a bit on temp but I have it on as it was all the same in my case
23:26
done, done, and done.
@Aarthi ohai. Yay. Sure. I had your ardent fan WesleyDavid tweet it. I had considered posting it on ze reddits, might do that after 0000 UTC.
@ScottPack do it doitdoitdoit
@Aarthi I will in a bit. I still have some wine left.
@TildalWave You see, the trick with broccoli is to steam it until it is slightly softened, but still firm. Sprinkle with a light dusting of sea salt, and serve. Yummo.
23:41
@ScottPack you just copied that from some cook book... what we really wanna know is what actually happened with it, not what's supposed to :P
@JeffFerland Quite a lot busier. stackexchange.com/sites#traffic
@TildalWave Well, that's what happened to my broccoli. The wife and kid don't like theirs salted.
If you get a question closed, is it possible to re-open it?
@D3C4FF Oh sure you betcha. Questions can be reopened in the same way they're closed. A mod can auto-open or 5 users (3k rep or higher) can vote to open.
@D3C4FF If you edit a closed question it will automatically be placed in the reopen review queue so it will become visible as well.
Oh cool. :)
@ScottPack That was my main query, i poorly phrased a question on SO and it got closed, i (think) i fixed it up and i'd like to re-open it.

Q: Convert .SQL file to .CSV

D3C4FFI've got a 4GB .SQL export of a fairly simple Oracle database (firstname/lastname/ID/date) Ideally I'd like to convert it to a CSV file. I'm not sure if there will be issues with the number of records though if i try and open such a large file. I don't have a running database server to re-import ...

@D3C4FF Oh, good luck with that. Their review queues are...rather full.
23:48
;__;
Would it be better to delete it and re-ask it?
Oh, scratch that.
Only their close queueue is jam packed.
queueueueue :)
@ScottPack Duuuude. That's nuts! D: How does one even get through that back log :O
@D3C4FF You don't. That queueueueueueueueueueueueueueue has been in the 50-60k range since the review queueueueueueueueueueueueueueues were created.
The SF one started out in the mid-20s, I think, and it took us a long time to bang that out.
Many of us going through all of our close votes every day for a long time.
damn.... You have a set limit? Why not just allow 'unlimited' close votes?
23:52
May I direct you to our friendly overlords at meta.so for that question?
cowers in the corner
Actually. Does anyone here know the answer to my question above? (or have any reccomendations to make it a 'better question'?)
You could probably do it with a simple awk or perl script.
Is it just a single table?
That'll do the single table that shows up in the sample.
anyway @TildalWave thanks for the OC help. probably bug you some more tomorrow...
