6:00 PM
When I was in college, our professor had a "rubber duck" challenge set up in his classroom where it was voice activated when someone said "an important word" for the course and the duck would drop from a lasso. For an example, if someone said, "avalanche breakdown", the duck would drop and you win a rare $2 bill. It was fun :)

So I have a signal processing question.
I've got two signals. One is received raw - the other is filtered. The filter induces a phase delay. But I'm not sure how to measure it.
The signal I'm getting isn't a sin wave. Now, I know all waves can be broken down into component sin waves, but how do I get the phase delay then? Or does that just apply to pure sin waves?

10:27 PM
I imagine what I'd have to do is find what are the composing waves of both signals, and identify the ones in common that the filter didn't remove. Then find out how far they're shifted in time and convert that back to degrees.
