Wooper ( ; Japanese: ウパー, Hepburn: Upah) is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon media franchise. First introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver, it was conceived by Game Freak's development team, with the design finalized by Ken Sugimori. Since Wooper's debut, it has appeared in multiple sequels and also games related to the series including Pokémon Go, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, as well as various merchandise.
