Also, since I'm very new to cryptic clues and crosswords, I'd appreciate any feedback on this

legerdemain (trickery), honophone of Ledger's domain!
Ledger domain, that is... no 's there
@Avastar For feedback, top marks for surface, it has the feel of a natural sentence. The trickery-joker connection is also a fun observation.

Q: Prove that you cannot buy 3 Humpties and 1 Dumpty with 1 dollar

Hemant Agarwal 175 Humpties cost more than 126 Dumpties. Prove that you cannot buy three Humpties and one Dumpty for one dollar. I found this question in the book mentioned below. This question seem to have flaws. Because if each Humpty costs 25 cents and each Dumpty costs 25 cents then we don't violate any ...

Q: Raven matrix puzzle

JohnI found this puzzle in an online test and I think the answer is E, the pentagon with no lines inside it because the last column always has at most as many lines as the first column. I can't think of a better explanation. What do you think is the right answer?

Q: The Prime Harmony

PsplHere's a story I just made up: "Ethan, a curious soul with a deep passion for both the stars and music, had always found harmony between the two. Earlier that evening, he had aligned his telescope using the Prime Meridian, ensuring perfect calibration for his observations. Precision mattered, and...

@Jafe CHICANERY = I CAN inside CHERY
correct!
CCCC: In a place to remember, west of Germany (1,2,4)
@Jafe is it within your capabilities?
most definitely
if "dodgy behavior" includes excessive editing then I'm certainly capable too
somehow I've racked up over 63 edits this month so far :O
15:15
jeez leave some for the rest of 'em
or are there any others at this point
Hmmm... DEN is to make a home... MARK is to remember and D'EN MARK is north of Germany....
It requires a certain threshold of edits, I forget if it's 5 or 10 or what
@Ankoganit alamo de
@juicifer yep!

(the def being just "in")
nice one
that's a nice clue
thanks :)
(to take three I did over breakfast)
can't distinguish between a space and no space in front of a colon even with glasses on, that'd require need a colon-o-scope

CCCC: Spaces before colons? Look for one, if you're listening (4)
@juicifer ILEA = "I'll ear"?
@DanielS not quite, but you're close
I'll say you'd probably spell the answer with five letters
@juicifer Aha CECA = "seek a"
@DanielS that's the one

@DanielS POSESS = POSE+Sx2
(It would need to be an &lit! maybe?)

@AncientSwordRage Not what was intended I fear.
@DanielS be not afraid, your intended solution is probably better

(Also, note that it's spelled "possess", with a total of four Ss.)
@DanielS This is LOOPER< ("re-pool" reversed). I have never heard them called "loopers" before, but it's apparently a common name.

Can anyone make cryptic crossword clues?
It's usually the same people who make them on here
20:40
@WOWOW well the cccc is a chain game, so in order to participate you'll have to solve the current one (which it looks like gpr already did)
but in general there's nothing stopping you from sending a standalone clue here, or posting it to the main site
21:02
To clarify what jucifer is saying, you can post a clue anytime if you like, but if you want to post one as part of the CCCC game, you first need to solve the previous clue.
(maybe that wasn't actually clearer...)
@GentlePurpleRain or maybe the answer is repool?
21:47
pretty sure it's looper considering the ongoing theme
22:41
^ Seconded
