So far as I know there isn't any rule against upvoting lots of someone's stuff because you genuinely think it's good. Or downvoting lots of someone's stuff because you genuinely think it's bad. What's definitely not allowed is upvoting or downvoting someone's stuff because of what you think of them (e.g., it's a friend, or they said something that annoyed you).

Unfortunately the two can be hard to distinguish sometimes.

I went though a period of time where I kept getting distracted by doing research into iron lungs
