Q: Will these two kangaroos meet ever?

PM.We have two Kangaroos. First one starts from point S1 and jumps for distance D1 in one jump. Second one starts from point S2 and jumps for distance D2 in one jump. Both will jump along the number line, S1 and S2 both are positive numbers on the number line.

^^ I'm a bit ambivalent towards FTC's, but this one sounds interesting. I like the focus on visual representation and the constraint that the puzzle should be solvable in the context of RPG games. For me, the ideal puzzle can be printed and solved offline.

I'm not a big fan of the visual focus myself -- I'm the kind of person that doesn't care about graphics on games, and fancy graphics in puzzles often create more red herrings and unintended complexity
It's a bit of an unpopular view, I'll admit

I'm not a fan of visuals per se. For example I find most of the rebus puzzles here with their potpourri of images scoured from the web very ugly. But I still think that a pretty drawing could make a good puzzle.
In the proposed dungeon context I can imagine a magic door that has the clean graphic quality of the Doors of Durin in the LOTR books. (That's probably qualification to my remark that I think a good puzzle should be printable -- the graphics should not be photographic images.)

8:47 AM
@MOehm I agree

are cryptic clues here libertarian?

12:01 PM
That depends a bit on who sets them. And, of course, on where you draw the line between libertarian and strict clues. In general, I'd say, we try to play by the strict rules, but are not afraid to break them occasionally.
But indirect anagrams are out, no matter what.

couldn't really think of anything, unfortunately, which is why I asked
the rest sounds quite plausible though

@MOehm PRO + F(orte) + (-v)ANITY = curse

7:06 PM
yeah, that has to be it

ah, yeah, that's much better
apologies for the false start, then

That's what got me thinking.

I rarely get things like that "first lifted" construct

I thought your interpretation of "strong" was probably correct, but I didn't think there were many words starting with FORF- (and none that fit the rest of the clue), so I looked for another definition of "Giving support to", and when I had PROF-, the PROFANITY = "curse" bit jumped out.
I back-solved the rest by trying to figure out how "self-obsession first lifted" could fit ANITY.

Yeah, that makes sense.
