@oAlt oops I slept

3:08 AM
sleep is good

In the words of my friend
"Sleep is for the weak, or I sleep for a week"

@Jafe what about magical cursed sleep

:0

still better than staying up all night playing with a site that lets you measure distances on the globe

@Jafe that's called dedication

3:16 AM
fun fact: it's a longer distance from here to perth, western australia than it is from my finnish home town to africa
i assume culturally the distance isn't as great, although who knows what those westerners are up to

CCCC: Intoxicated, agitated, irate in bed (10)
No time for a hard one yet again

CAMERO(O.)N @Jafe

Lmao so my parents are watching the Quiet Place and I'm like
"Nope I'm good I don't like horror", and my mom's like "are you sure you don't want to watch it with us"
I still said

the correct response is to sneak up on them during the film and be like "boo!" at the right moment

No, the correct response is to hack the TV and make it go fritz out and broadcast a ransom demand

Q: 5 days abandoned

risky mysteries 6 days ago I was left on a deserted island. 5 days ago I had some hope so I was fine. 4 days ago I outlined SOS on the ground. 3 days ago I felt defeated and depressed. 2 days ago I got saved by a branded ship. Find the hidden word in the story.

Thanks North for the clue idea :0

Question: For n-def clues (n>=2), are connecting words(like from, to, etc) allowed or should the clue only contain the different definitions?

n=2, a connection is allowed. n>2 is nonstandard, but i think people who are lenient enough to allow that will allow connectors between them

I think both cases are ok, though I don't have much experience with cryptic clues, for example, my firsr ever working cc was a ddef and I didn't have a connector

CCCC: Google flap let medicine (6)
Oh, wait, it is not, oops
My mistake

it is not a double definition, nor does it follow the rules of cryptic clues

5:53 AM
Does it not?
Google flap: TAB, let, def: Medicine (as in a TABLET for medicine)

"google flap" = TAB?

As in a googlet tab

@Anonymus25-ReinstateMonica I know what your intention is in saying that, but others may point out that it seems a bit like pressuring, which I believe you have been reminded here at least once before. In this case, a better phrasing would have been "Do make one if you have the time" :)
(Popping in here because of a break, not because the event is done)

Q: Encrypted code with colours and letters. Can you identify the code, I have the possible key

ShammonI have a code that I can not break. It has been looked at for such a long time and I have tried to solve what might be the content or message. I recently was made aware that the alleged key for the code had been hidden in plain site in the main code. So I have removed it and separated it to try. ...
