I agree with outlawing assumption types, but I'm not sure about Travis' definitions for the other two groups

Not that that matters too much

Let's see... mission statement? Looks good. Good/bad puzzle... skip for now. Good/bad answer? Explanation definitely yes. I think we're getting better at that though, right?

Not sure formalising will help imo - Interpretation's the grey area we're all stuck on

Heh, quite the change from PPCG and its "objective winning criteria"

It's basically the problem I have with my umbrella. I swear it's purple, but everyone calls it pink.

it is addressable, but it is tricky getting everyone on the same page so that the site can function cohesively

the one thing I can say is action is better than inaction, even if in this case, the action taken was a mistep, but hopefully it will inspire movement forward

and it seems to be doing that

What's the difference between Interpretation and Challenge or can a question be both? (What you have there for calculation is what I had in mind, btw)

It can be both, yes.

I mean that a question can simply be asking about theory or posting a challenge. These puzzles discussed can either be Interpretation based, Calculation based, or something i haven't thought of.
