@randal'thor A "riddle" tag is no excuse for a low quality question.

We're (Puzzling mods) actually working on a meta post to address recent concerns with question quality and on-topicness, so you should see that fairly shortly as well.
There have been countless questions recently that don't live up to Stack Exchange's quality standards. We have a responsibility as members of the Stack Exchange network site to live up to the quality standards SE expects. We need to do something to fix our question quality. This is that something...
Alternatively, see reputation tables for Stack Overflow, Server Fault, Super User, a launched SE 2.0 site, a public beta site. And Meta Stack Exchange.

i think something like "(The following is the joint opinion of the Puzzling mods.)" would be fine
i would have like to know that before i started reading the whole thing

@xnor I'll see if I can think of a good way to edit that in without disrupting the cadence and tone of the post? But like Kevin says, it's a little hard to do.
@d'alar'cop in case you didn't get an answer yet, normal users can only migrate to the corresponding meta site or a short list of other sites specially chosen by SE. Betas almost never get those quick-migration paths, and we're no exception. Moderators can migrate wherever is needed, so if you see a high-quality question that is off-topic here but should be on another site, flag with a custom reason explaining which site and why it's on topic there but not here.
Our primary purpose for being here is ...
If you disagree with this, then Stack Exchange is not for you.
Rather than asking us as a community what we think the purpose of the site should be, you seem to be choosing to rule by fiat; it's your way or the highway.
That's a shame. I'm very...
Really feeling quite sad. Thought we had a nice little community developing here. :(
The epitome of an evil the skewed letter would label
To many is such truth, not a fable
Held tightly by urges of the seconds
Within the sleepless cities that beckons
Twice I hold the path of tea
Forever you stay within me
It is not glue that binds us
Nor the substance which I fuss

@Mew but it wasn't just one repost. If you have a problem with a mod's decision, take it up on meta or use the Contact Us page to contact the community management team at SE. That's how you get productive results (as this overall situation has shown.) The only option mods have if you are being disruptive is to suspend to stop the disruption. Right or wrong, if they thought it didn't belong, simply recreating it isn't going to change their view, talking about it might.
As I'm sure everyone on Meta has read, there's been quite a lot of confusion about whether or not puzzles are on-topic on Puzzling.SE. The latest information right now is from Robert Cartaino saying that everything's OK as it is - don't panic and the rest of this post assumes that things sort the...
In this recent thread,
Is it time for us to disallow challenge-only questions?
it seems that moderators have a very specific idea of what this community should be, with which a large portion of the community disagrees.
Should we - as a whole community - hold new moderator elections?
Please note...
No problem - I think we just all need to calm down. Mods acted in good faith, the community disagreed quite strongly, that's OK - that's life. We don't need to get all up in arms :-)
