Hello everybody, first time joining your main chat room :)
I'm having a bit of a hard time finding a question in the site, and wanted to check out here first as to avoid posting duplicates
It relates to nginx and proxying, it goes something like this:
>We have two different http services, running on two different hosts on the same subnet (say 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3). We have a third host that we want to use as a proxy for both of those services. My boss would like to have just that proxy server exposed (single IP), where we would configure TSL cert and proxy each service...
>The goal (which I don't know if is possible) would be to: have only that proxy server exposed, which we will have ourdomain.com pointing to. We would like to divide requests to ourdomain.com/service1/ to go to 192.168.1.2 and requests to ourdomain.com/service2/ go to 192.168.1.3
I was trying to aciheve it with proxy_pass
But I'm a bit lost here, as I have few experience with nginx
If any of you recalls that this has been asked before I would greatly appreciate the link to that Q&A :)
cheers
If you need more details I'll gladly provide them
