I wouldn't say that it has very little benefit because I put this type of tail on a paper airplane and it flew just fine and wasn't difficult to build it either. — Ethan9 hours ago
@Ethan ^^^ is a logical fallacy. Someone presents an argument with reasoning that there is no benefit to your tail design, and you challenge that with something that doesnt actually dispute his claim. Secondly, paper airplanes operate in wildly different regimes from full-scale airplanes (different Reynolds numbers, different structures, different mass, etc) and you can't directly compare your design that way.
I only point this out because I see that you make these kind of arguments routinely (and that isn't uncommon for someone your age) but you could improve your questions and probably the community perception of them, if you could avoid making these kinds of logical fallacies in your arguments
@Ethan Related: Your Logical Fallacy Is... -- Any time you want to debate a subject consider whether your argument falls into one of those categories. If it does it's a weak argument & should be revised or abandoned :)
@casey Yeah, I've been watching Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, etc debate a number of ... interesting ... people over the last few days. It's sometimes astonishing how people don't see that they're running around in a circle.
look back at a standpoint of a politician 2 month later and he'll have changed his view point around completely like it was never anything else to begin with
It is the mark of an adult to change ones views and opinions periodically to fit the facts. It is the mark of a politician to change ones views and opinions constantly to fit the audience.
I emailed Flightaware today about getting their data, but I was confused by the answer. Their salesperson said their standard product does this, but then pointed me to a page all about live data.
Oh great more competition against my airplane design. I knew the tail design existed somewhere Yessssss. This guy also states that his design has extreme amounts of lift, but he forgot to say two things about this huge of wings. 1. These wings would be extremely heavy 2. Extreme amounts of drag from this wingspan. I already have competition I don't need any more :(.
My design looks so pathetic when it comes to this design I have to come up with something different. By the way this plane is called the Lockheed Stratoliner.
