He's now considered aberrant, which means among other things that he can't gain Stain to mitigate crippling effects and massive damage attacks that I balanced around being able to gain Stain to mitigate.

Just dropped him to within 7 of death.

He's running, and considering blowing ALL his Stain on killing both the Appendages of Allabar that are on the field.

I've printed up three more minis of Appendages and am cutting them out slowly and deliberately in front of him.

Also? I'm loving the time jump mechanic.

It is SO fun to have two identical maps to bounce between.

When a PC makes 8 attacks per round and time jumps every time he misses by more than 5, and forces time jumps every time he crits? The battlefield changes drastically over the course of his turn.

I have no idea what he's going to do now.

(I rolled three 18s on him in two rounds.)

He was surprisingly hard to kill, due to having resist 30 all and being insubstantial while dying.

We ended the D&D session a bit early, as I wanted to have everyone level up to 30 before we continued.

So we did a quick and dirty FATE demo.

Gunslinger Clown and Martial Mime vs a Made Man with an anti-clown vendetta.

I'm sure we got a lot of the rules not-quite-right, and all the characters were hasty and half-built, but it felt right and I'm pretty sure we were close.

We did declarations and maneuvers and blocks and the hitman was taken out by a clorox-loaded squirt gun and a fire hose.

(Assessed aspect: The Clothes Make The Man. Invoked vs. bleach gun.)

Also: the 2234 Stain, and its use to take out two Appendages in a single turn? Is definitely going to make the Appendages next session all the more scary because the big gun is dead.

Yeah, my toon is dead. I'm gonna reroll the higher lvl variant of my very first character and play out the finale as him. It was a fun character to play, but very fiddly and not THAT great vs the high reflex defenses of our enemies XD

Was fun, FATE too :)

Does anyone know (i.e. can get in touch with) James Maliszewski? I noticed that his blog (Grognardia) hasn't been updated since Dec.2012, while he usually posted (or at least accepted responses) on a daily basis.
I'm just concerned that he may be facing some problems, so if someone can confirm what the situation is I'd be grateful.
