Just imagine being a nervous teenager sat in front of an interview panel of three devils while your dad tries to sell your soul to them having somehow managed to get so far in life without learning that accompanying you to a job interview does not make a good impression
I assume BESW will now provide a link to an RPG about that or start writing one
I thought @KorvinStarmast was saying that it was "Loving you" mail ... what with Valentine's Day coming up, what better way to celebrates one's relationship than something that says "I hope you don't die!" :)
@nitsua60 I strapped it on for a minute or two, and it seemed ok. But I imagine if I wore it much longer, I would suddenly, and sharply, realise why gambesons are a thing
(Your arm-hair may vary. I am led to believe that I am on the "not so much hair" end of the spectrum)
@goodguy5 Yay! I can't count how often that comes up! :)
Replicate those links along the whole arm ( supposedly getting wider, to account for muscle-mass, but my wet-noodles dont' count for much) and we might have the beginnings of some actual AC
I'm trying to make a character for a Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus (D&D 5e) campaign. I'm thinking a bard with the Faceless background, but still trying to figure out the rest of the character
was maybe thinking College of Glamour at first. Perhaps an aasimar (because we're going to hell; scourge, maybe?), or an eladrin elf (fits with college of glamour's fey/enchantment theme) or maybe even one of the variant tieflings from MTOF (a Zariel tiefling, perhaps?).
though I've learned another player might be playing an eladrin Glamour bard... but they submitted a few different possible characters
As far as backstory goes, I haven't nailed down any of the details, but perhaps he could be working as an undercover agent of some sort, using his cover as a performer of some kind to secretly gather information . I'm thinking maybe he'd be working to do good in some way for the people of Baldur's Gate... but maybe not? he could also be getting used, unbeknownst to him, by an employer with their own motives.
I don't see anything in the plain class descriptions and it's time consuming to go through each archetype to see if I can find what I'm looking for.
Are there any classes that gain access to wild shape and six levels of spells (as opposed to the Druid with 9)?
So I just noticed an account is suspended for rules violations. Is that pretty much all I can know about it or is asking about it further an option?
So I just noticed an account (not mine) is suspended for rules violations. Is that pretty much all I can know about it or is asking about it further an option?
@Medix2 Probably not. I have a relevant bit of commentary in the log somewhere...
Oh well, couldn't find it as quickly as I'd hoped. But I remember moderator statements that account suspensions (and actions leading there) are typically not discussed, to avoid fostering a sense of stigma for what should be a corrective measure. Actual mods, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.
Oh lol.
I actually tried searching with the specific word ("stigma") and found it instantly...
@Medix2 We can, of course, answer general questions. But @kviiri's got the right of it: we shy away very strongly from discussing individual actions unless the principal requests that we do so.
In the D&D 5e DMG, the artifact called the Book of Vile Darkness has the following property (pp. 223-224):
Dark Speech. While you carry the Book of Vile Darkness and are attuned to it, you can use an action to recite words from its pages in a foul language known as Dark Speech. Each time you ...

@V2Blast I think one difference with the recent "improvised weapon creature" question is that it asks for possible damage calcs which other questions don't
Okay I admit V2 you were probably right for me to head over here made sense at the time but....yeah. Okay wanted to recreate the Kubikiriboucho from Naruto in dnd thinking 3.5 figured I might be able to mostly just re skin and add a few magical properties but wanted to know what I should use for the base to reskin.
@BradleyLindsey I'd say it's literally just a greatsword, with the magical ability to repair itself on killing an enemy.
(Damage to objects almost never comes up, so that's not worth spending too much time thinking about.)
If you really want, nothing says "bigger than other swords" like the fullblade. Of course, it also says "requires Exotic Weapon Proficiency", which is not usually something you want weapons to say.
