I am checking file MIME types of uploaded files and forcing extensions as so:

$mime = finfo_file($finfo, $_FILES['attachment']['tmp_name']);
if ($mime == 'application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document') {

I posted an answer on Stack Overflow and it's one of my first few answers. I entered almost the entire paragraph from this page that starts with "If n_1" and ended at "and its depth is 0." as well as an image and then another paragraph below.
When I tried to bold a few sentences within the quot...
It turns out the the recent question regarding the misuse of rm -rf in Ansible was actually just a hoax (English) in some kind of viral marketing effort. It become quite famous on various media and gathered a large number of views.
Since I don't think we should allow ServerFault to be abused in...
The issue was discovered by Google's Eric Dumazet, and quietly dealt with at the end of 2015 with a small fix applied to the open-source kernel. Linux distros, such as Ubuntu and Debian, were distributing fixed builds of the kernel by February this year. Red Hat told us its flavors of Linux were never affected.
Hmph. Late answers review queue. Link in answer → please "edit to include relevant information". Link in second answer from same user "include relevant info please". Third "please include information here and disclose you wrote that blog post". Fourth (which claimed the linked post was 'found'): "fix all of your answers please". Perhaps I should be more patient...
(not disclosing affiliation is spamflag-worthy, right?)

Howdy evryome I'm trying to figure out if my ssd drive is using says 3 or 2. I'm running black magic and speeds max out around 80-100 man sec for wrre and 450 me/s for read. Is this right?
Oh! Speaking of WW3. @allquixotic I've figured out arty is great for breakthrough (as a minor) in HoI4. Still can't stop the SU messing up Germany tho :(
@allquixotic I have been invited to give a talk on WP security during a security-oriented conference at one of the biggest unis in our country. I'm thinking of searching RA for "allquixotic wordpress" and putting it in my slides ;P
@bertieb the "Salmacht" (El Salvador equivalent of Wehrmacht :P) has several high-end tank designs with various mods to the tanks: tank destroyers, AA on a tank chassis, artillery on a tank chassis
@allquixotic Yeah, that was the other thing I was meaning to ask- how the hecksauce did you pump out those water-speed-record-breaking superbattleships?
@ThatBrazilianGuy you might want to build a bomb shelter; El Salvador will be invading Brazil soon as part of their plans to overshadow Nazi Germany as the most militaristic faction in WWII, "The Cartel"
(The invite has nothing to do with my profesional relevance and everything to do with the fact I personally know the conference organizer and he just went "oh, you like wordpress right, you could give a security talk"). In fact, it went just like that back in 2016.
@bertieb the trick to navy in HoI IV is to build em big -- much better to be outnumbered with advanced, long range battleships than to be the guy with a zillion destroyers against 2 BBs
Manufacturers don't make laptop hard drives with a SATA 3.0 interface because the drive's performance can't even fully use a SATA 2.0 interface. Is this true?
@ThatBrazilianGuy why? can't you say "Ele está indo bananas"? that doesn't make sense? :P /sarc
@William no, that's BS; even slow hard drives have a (small) DRAM cache on-board that can, for a very short period of time, read or write at ludicrous speeds
you get a momentary advantage when filling or emptying that cache with SATA 6 Gb/s vs. 3 Gb/s
@William 450 MB/s is normal for read speeds; you'll find that many/most SSDs on the market are rated by their manufacturers around that speed, which is slightly more than 3 Gb/s (450 * 8 = 3300 = 3.3 Gb/s) and the 100 MB/s is also pretty normal for budget SSDs
it depends a lot on the SSD you're using; cheap SSDs are only somewhat faster than hard drives (great IOPS, but throughput might be only marginally better, especially in the write direction)
if you paid less than $500 for your SSD I wouldn't be surprised if that's literally all it can do and is operating correctly
So does it matter if I use the same benchmarking software? I'm trying to speed test snow leopard machines to decide if I should install a low sized ssd
@William get as much SSD as you can afford, in terms of quality, performance and capacity - benchmarks should have little to no bearing on your decision
how many systems? what's your budget? what do they have in them now? what are they used for? (and why the fsck are you still using Snow Leopard?!)
Pick a benchmark for an is, stick with that benchmark and configuration, but there will be little variation between benchmarks (except if you use a benchmark that doesn't test larger file sizes) but that's more due to the fact because of cache sizes
lol lots of questions. The machine are used strictly for internet access really and basic word functions and fcp7. we have had stability problems in tests when updating to newer operating systems so we don't.
I am trying to construct a string with multiple SQL queries for execute it on SQLite dabase, but it only allows me to add 4096 chars to the string, I tested with AnsiStrings and it is the same thing.
I am using Delphi Berlin 10.1
And this the section of my code:
for i := 1 to S.Count-1 do

(the why doesn't the variable type support something) the fact it's about a programming language design, the fact the code quality of the snippet is horrible are just a few
But seriously, I don't even think ISPs here ever issue takedown notices.
You can be investigated by the police and then they'd ask the ISP for logs and also confiscate your computers. But I've never heard of a police investigation for domestic piracy, ever.
@William Well, upgrading to an SSD on a system that's running an obsolete and insecure OS on the public Internet and used to render video (Jesus Christ...) with 8 year old obsolete software, is like upgrading a 1960 Chevy truck with engine problems and bald tires with a fresh coat of paint.
You would do a great service to your users to upgrade the operating system and Final Cut Pro to a version that can do GPU assisted rendering. It'd be worlds faster. And that'd include an SSD in the new hardware you'd likely have to buy.
It's only going to get worse as security researchers find more and more holes in it that will never get patched. You're basically running the Mac equivalent of Windows XP.
@William Still... for the task of video rendering, on Snow Leopard with Final Cut version Obsolete Minus 1000, you're almost certainly going to be CPU bottlenecked... Meaning, it doesn't matter how fast your storage is; rendering isn't going to get any faster. To improve rendering speed you'll need to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X, a modern version of macOS (ideally, Sierra), and a modern GPU.
@William In your new question at Software Recs: softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/41711/… you didn't say which Linux distro you are using. When I checked your profile I saw that you are a user at Ask Ubuntu, however your question is asked as a general Linux software recommendation. As I see it, this gives you 2 additional alternatives, either to specify the OS or to mention any possible cross platform requirements that may exist.
@karel he actually weakened his question; the original question was about getting the same benchmarking program (with as close to identical functionality as possible) working across Mac and Linux (and I think Windows, too?)
I think he was afraid of it getting closed and edited it; see the history
@allquixotic Thanks for the information about the question's revision history. I already posted an answer to that question, so I have edited my answer and included the supported platforms in it.
@allquixotic oh, this was when I finally moved out of the doghouse storage room into the bedroom my brother used to occupy. Took a week to get the toilet acceptably clean ;p
