Hey, just wondering does anyone happen to know what the negative integer behind a dll represents (like sometimes seen in registry). E.g. @%SystemRoot%\system32\appwiz.cpl,-1070
In my stellar empire, the sapient life of the home world are arachnids. Due to an oxygen-heavy world with certain evolutionary characteristics, spider-like beings developed intelligence and formed society, leading them (eventually) to start looking toward the stars. This led to the development of...
So I my choices are either setting everything how I'd like on pfSense but having intermittent speed limit issues (from originally 10 Mbps to 5 or even 2), or having full DSL speed but losing everything else.
@JourneymanGeek Hm. The issue shows up when using PPPoE. I'd have to test if it shows up on Linux as well.
And, if not, I'd have to learn of a decent Linux alternative to pfSense.
@djsmiley2k Yeah. Well, the email domain matches the business name, they already sponsor groups in other countries, and I got a genuine PayPal email with a transfer notification, so...
It might be legit LOL
There's enough money to buy 14 pizzas. Or a lot of snacks. Wonder which is best.
Being an EE I'm not very familiar with the workings of websites and in particular with the Windows IIS server. Up until Windows 10 arrived I've never had any trouble installing development tools using the LAMPP, WAMPP, or XAMPP website installers. Tools such as Redmine, TestLink, CMS, and others....
I have a new job offer that offers 60% more salary than my current job and the same benefits. But I do not wish to leave my current job and in a month I will be getting my(annual) raise that will close the gap to 40%.
How can I convince my employer to give me a bigger raise that will either matc...
And I'm not sure how to interpret this. I assume the second value is the amount of partitioned space and the third value is the size available to the OS. Not sure what the fourth value would be (I suspect it's used if the drive supports and has HPA enabled).
Sometimes, if you plug the USB3.0 device too slowly, it is recognized as 2.0.
Why ? Because the 3.0 line of pins is in a second row so if the protocol handshake is finished before your device is fully plugged in, it will never get USB3.0 speed.
This is particulary annoying when using USB keys l...

@bwDraco Since I only have a 120GB SSD, I just got transferred everything from Downloads and Documents to the external drive, but there's still too much space used up on this disk. Do you know of any tools which map out usage and will tell me what is using up most space and is safe to delete?
(uhhhh.... CCleaner does this, I think? I've heard bad things about it though)
