10:00 PM
Tell them you're trying to sleep and to go play on the street.

@MichaelFrank Heh, I can't go out. Went for a walk last night, sister told on me and now mum is mad

want to hear a funny story about the stag party i went to on saturday?

why are you up at 3am?
go to sleep
night yall

@Burgi doe I have to? ;p

:(

10:08 PM
@Burgi Yes please. You seemed to have missed my pun ...

@DavidPostill now you've pointed it out i see it

I'm in the mood for stories

so the best man booked a table at redhotworldbuffet.com for our lunch. he got the confirmation email and everything

is that okay to click?

yes
he was walking passed the restaurant on wednesday last week and noticed it was shutdown and had been for a month
he booked us in elsewhere and forgot about it, no harm done

10:13 PM
Wait... nobody told the webhost???

it gets better
today he has just received an email asking him to write a review and to be entered into the monthly prize draw to win a free meal.

So is it just one restaurant that closed? Or all of them?

i checked, they are all shutdown

@Burgi lol

10:16 PM
But they're looking for workers!
Also, their last twitter updates was 301 days ago.

i know!

Clearly it's a ghost restaurant from a parallel universe

heh

Mobile site is pretty decent

yeah, its a nice site
wtf...
check the trending twitter

10:24 PM
@Burgi Hm, it's localized
What do you see?

Bob
morning

Hi!

10:28 PM
My husband and daughter were at AG gig at MEN and there was panic but someone came on stage and said no explosion, just a balloon.

i better email everyone at work

I was just about to post that. Some balloon ;p
> According to a doctor in A&E a baloon popped, and caused a stampede

someone in the stag group is there and it was a bomb

> Arena Incident: Transformer near roof blew up landing hot sparks and metal fragments onto crowd - no bomb and no gunshots

ah i'll him know

10:41 PM
Minutes           : 44
Seconds           : 10
Milliseconds      : 967
The amount of time it takes to get the ACLs and report on them for 50,000 folders.

according to the guy there he was told by the police that it was definitely terrorists and that a bomb had gone off outside the exits...
not sure i like this insta-feed of news
its hard to make a judgement

lol the police aren't going to tell random civilians that it was a terrorist...

the police have confirm fatalities. although they could have occurred in the stampede
welp its a good job that i had already told the office i was working from home
@MichaelFrank police are civilians...

@Burgi You know what I mean though, right?
"Hey officer, what happened?"

"Oh it was definitely terrorists"

lol yeah
closes twitter

11:00 PM
wtf

that tweet just annoyed me so much

me too

@Rahul2001 check this version of a mobile view

@GypsySpellweaver oops
What device is that?

Samsung Galaxy J1
Screen width = 480 px
That's why I made the <label> and <input> wrap in small resolutions, and why I killed the padding on the chat box for the same.

11:15 PM
@GypsySpellweaver Hm, I think I'm going to implement your style
Github still up?

It is, but it won't have the changes you've made.

@GypsySpellweaver Yeah, that's ok

Is there a better way to find the rightmost folder name from a path? $folder = $unc.split("\")[$unc.split("\").count - 1]

people from my office live in the city centre, they are saying the streets are packed with people trying to get home but the trams are all shutdown

@MichaelFrank [System.IO.Path]::GetFileName($unc)
Even works on Linux, where the directory separator is /

11:18 PM
Thanks! I'll give that a shot.
purrrrrrrfect :3

Alternatively, if you like cmdlets more than .NET methods, Split-Path $unc -Leaf

@GypsySpellweaver I don't really like the handle space for scrolling on the right

Yea, Split-Path keeps giving me blank results though.

Weird; it seems to work here

@Rahul2001 Adjust it.

11:21 PM
@BenN Well it worked when I tried it just now, but earlier it wasn't doing anything.

Also, to get the last element of an array, you can use the subscript -1 ;)

the bomb squad have just arrived...

@BenN Ahhh, I was wondering about something like that
Also I realised leaf doesn't work on \\server\path but does work on \\server\path\path

I suspect that's because the first path there is the share name, which is not exactly the same kind of thing as a directory or file name

11:24 PM
\\server\share is a drive-like deal

@MichaelFrank your original message was more informative... ;)

@Burgi Not nearly as amusing though.

lol
> a bomb threat? must be happening overseas...

The best part is when he admitted to smoking weed on camera.

did the reporter manage to find the only stoner there?

11:26 PM
Yea, probably.

@Rahul2001 this is what it is with the scroll space on right

@Rahul2001 I think that you should make an option to create random rooms and link to them
Going further, you should move the text boxes to an "advanced" dropdown IMO

@GypsySpellweaver Let's just make the chatbox of the height of the device, so no scrolling is required
@Avery There was some logic behind what I did

@Rahul2001 That would work too.

May 13 at 7:01, by Gypsy Spellweaver
@Rahul2001 @Bob I think I like the double parameter better than a random string type link. The link can be shared by text/email, but not so easy by voice.

11:32 PM
then pick from a word list

May 13 at 7:13, by Gypsy Spellweaver
@Bob Since it's intended to be anonymous, I could meet Mr J.Q.P on the street, tell him the two parameters and meet in chat later. Even before I login myself. If it's any kind of generated link, someone has to login first to get that link, then find a way to share it.

I'm just saying this so that you can make the entry curve lower, which reddit likes.

I like how Windows 10 associates the search keyword "trim" with Defragment and Optimize Drives.

@Avery Hm, I can add a sharable link which includes both parameters

Bleh now I'm running into file too long errors. :(
I don't want to work out a smart way of mounting temp drivesssss

11:40 PM
Are you on Windows 10?

I wish
No, this is Windows 7.

Ow. Well, if you had Windows 10, I think this would work :/
If you felt strongly enough you could P/Invoke this native function that gets the 8.3 name from a given path
Depending on how deep your folders go, even that might not do it though

how very british.... people living in the city centre are offering stranded people cups of tea
tea solves all problems

"If one is in poor spirits, one should drink tea." -Eisai

they've shut all the trams which is probably hampering the clearing of the area

11:47 PM
@BenN That looks too complicated for me. :S

Heh.
It's dawn

@Rahul2001 Better?

@GypsySpellweaver yep
slightly more padding though?
On the sides

@Rahul2001 Pushed it up, as is. You can adjust the padding some if needed. Don't forget, the frame of the phone also adds its own "padding".

@GypsySpellweaver uh huh, okie dokie
