?

@jeffery Different discussion. :P

Okay, thanks.

@Hennes Just leave it. :)

Just... stunned

Anyway, @Jeffery I think if you want to have the black background on that image, it would be best to create a 1px border all the way around with whatever transparency value you want.

11:04 PM
@MichaelFrank Its that easy? Add a new layer and then make it transparent? You have any links?

Umm... I could do it in Photoshop in like 2 seconds. But with Gimp or Paint.NET I'm not so sure.
Do they have a 1px line select tool?
Either horizontal or vertical

They have a rectangle and lasso tool.
in paint.net
If you keep my image the same except make it transparent to a point where it works with the registry edit I can give you credit later in my codeproject article.

@jeffery Actually, are there any white or almost white pixels in your image? You could set one of those to any colour you want and then use that same RGB value in your Unattended Setup .xml
That way, it won't look out of place on a white background and you'll still get the full sized image.

"Once upgraded, the old license is no longer valid. That is the contract between you and Microsoft, the cost of the upgrade if you will. There are lots of horrible details hidden in licenses." - I cannot for the life of me figure out where Julian is finding their information
Why must I now know about contracts?

@Ramhound That's what Win8 said about my Win7 license. Which still works perfectly fine!

Yes, which is my point :$

ugh. where's that?

Where what?

The thing about licencing.

My quote?

Q: Will it be possible to revert to Windows 8 after installing Windows 10 (not preview)?

DrMoishe PippikIs there any reason that one could not revert to a previous OS (e.g. from a disk image) after installing the full release of Windows 10? It might be possible for MS to repartition the disk during installation, or to install a new file system that could not be read by the WinPE or Linux restore me...

thats the question
I don't have a link for the comment itself

He's posted an answer. I almost posted a link to xkcd.com/285 but I just asked if there's an official link

@Ramhound and my answer hasn't changed! Of course a license can be made invalid! Microsoft maintain a database of valid licenses and they set what is valid and what isn't - not the people who have "purchased" the software!! MS make licenses invalid every day. Your license is checked every time you connect to Windows Update & that is set to get a LOT tighter in the next set of changes they are about to announce. Another reason they want everyone on W10. — Julian Knight 10 mins ago
Their answer hasn't change indeed, still, wild speculation.
just as mine is. If I don't read it in the license I don't believe it, license, is actually really sort of clear.
