@OliverSalzburg Yeah, I know. It's heinous. A server with ridiculous bandwidth from Hetzner or 100TB is pretty inexpensive. Any self respecting hacker should have one :P
And then there's, like, Dropbox

@allquixotic Or, you know, Dropbox, SkyDrive, Box, Cubby, Google Drive, ...

yeah :)
even Amazon S3 kind of qualifies, unless you're very poor and have tens of thousands of downloads of large file lol

Or make a SourceForge account and use their space :D

i remember Atwood saying that he paid like $128 in S3 fees for some contest where people were listening to MP3s of different quality and ranking them by quality
$0.10 per GB goes into $128 ... a lot of times O.o
almost 1.3 TB of data transfer :P

2 hours later…
9:20 PM
@TomWijsman yes

@JourneymanGeek: Hmm, could put nhinkle next to you. :P

@TomWijsman: go ahead.
hm, I'm about 2+4 votes away from level 4 ;p

anybody here?

i have a FTP
on this website:

I think you can add a new network location in Windows Explorer but I don't know the exact place.

9:58 PM
lol
remoted into the windows 8 box

someone linked this in comms room, thought it was interesting in a make-you-want-to-vomit-at-the-stupidity kind of way: forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=65649

lol
I remember this

10:15 PM
Came across this yesterday: ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=876704
The bumps are funny. :D

10:44 PM
Rendered output is also nice :D

11:00 PM
I see what you did there...

This kind of makes me want to see SU done in Solarized (ethanschoonover.com/solarized)

@r.tanner.f Nice

11:18 PM
@OliverSalzburg: that thing is looking better and better.

Check out how cleverly I've re-done the question titles :D
Recycling the markdown help ^^

I just need to work out how to use stylebot ;p
and prolly stylish on firefox

Copy & paste

I accidentally disabled it T T
hm, its probably broken in canary ;p

I think they offer a few install solutions
No... only Stylebot :D OK

11:26 PM
yay!
That worked

What's really driving me nuts though...
When you click a link, that links directly to a comment or answer, the comments or answer is "highlighted".
The colors used for the fade are hardcoded in a JS in the <head> :(
StackExchange.question.init({votesCast[],canViewVoteCounts:true,totalCommentCount:2,shownCommentCount:2,highlightColor:'#BEB013',backgroundColor:'#FFF',questionId:491325});

/* Editor Fix */
#post-form .wmd-container,
#post-form .wmd-input,
#post-form .wmd-preview{
  width: 720px;
}
#post-form .wmd-button-bar {
  width: 728px
}
That's also nice :D

eheh. Tried putting desktop in the autostart to see if it makes windows 8 boot into desktop environment automatically
Was silly and didn't work, but worth a try

Makes the quick-answer box the full width of the column
