I'm not sure if red flags are the best way to handle this, but it's definitely not cool to plug your own Github without disclosure (magento.stackexchange.com/a/368740) and it's even less cool to do it a second time on what I can clearly see is a duplicate (magento.stackexchange.com/a/368741)

@JeffSchaller cc @CanO'Spam I generally use this bookmarklet to generate searches for watched items, or potential watches. To use it, select the text you're intending to have as an entry and then activate the bookmarklet. It will open a new tab with an MS search. With minor modifications, it can be adjusted to have the search be equivalent to blacklisted websites, blacklisted usernames, numbers, etc.

@GeneralGrievance Only if they see the flags instead of the spam vanishing (almost) without a trace
Ideally (speaking as a moderator that sometimes sleeps), the community users (including CHQ regulars) flag the spam (no moderator required for the post to disappear), and after enough of those, the spammer is automatically blocked from posting future spam (no moderator required).
Yeah, that's fair. I guess I'll just have to keep complaining on their Meta site.

Hey @Makyen, that post is still alive but MS seems to think it got deleted for some reason. Did they delete then undelete it by chance?
19:01
@Jesse that seems to be what happened, yes: stackoverflow.com/posts/77137251/timeline
@JeffSchaller Ahh interesting. It got deleted a second time and now it's back again. Do you think MS not recognizing it as being undeleted would cause any problems? Like flags that are done through MS might not actually make it to the site?

@metasmoke Actually might not be. I think it's a cryptogram given user's history.
Yeah I was just looking at that.
@Jesse As I recall, MS makes no attempt to check its own record of if the post is deleted in the path which raises flags. It does make that check when displaying the post record page and won't present the option to flag as spam when it thinks the post is deleted, but that wouldn't stop someone from sending a flag via the MS API (e.g. with FIRE).
When sending the actual flag, MS does, currently, try to get the list of available flags for that post and flagging user. If the post is actually deleted, then the only available flagging option will be the "in need of moderator intervention" flag, which MS won't raise, so will return the response "Flag option not present".
As to MS understanding that the post is undeleted: There's currently no code which watches or detects for that possibility, nor any code on MS that allows for marking the post as undeleted once it's marked as deleted. That doesn't mean there couldn't be, just that there isn't.
19:51
Also, the "enigmatic-puzzle" tag seems to allow for that there.
@Makyen Okay sounds good. Just wanted to make sure.

!!/watch- bigsaverhub\.com
@GeneralGrievance Also, user's profile bio contains some shady looking urls. Should we blacklist those?
I can't see the deleted post, and I'm not going to follow those URLs. Unless they've been repeatedly spammed, then no. Maybe a watch, but I'd want to see the post and have a reason to believe they will spam them. If they're simply inappropriate and unlikely to be spammed, you can also custom flag for a mod to wipe the profile text. If the links are extremely abusive and there's a reason to believe they will be spammed, then that makes a case for a watch, or other action beyond that
@GeneralGrievance ^
Gotcha. Thanks.
@GeneralGrievance Not sure if you've already seen it, but see also Guidance for Blacklisting and Watching. Sometimes exceptions are made, but there would need to be a pretty convincing reason, especially as a wrongly-blacklisted domain combined with other reasons could trigger autoflagging, and that's something that needs to be pretty accurate.

Thanks, good info. I'll probably have to refer to that a lot.
