On the feedback page, the hovertip actually shows very accurate timestamps. Figuring out the exact time a message was posted in a chat room is the hard part, it seems.
@cigien Getting the timestamp for a chat message is relatively easy from the console within a chat room, as the timestamp, to the second, is stored on each post. It's harder from transcripts, but possible. If you want, I have a bookmarklet which will cycle through showing the "normal" formatted timestamp on each chat message with ISO tooltip, then in ISO format, then back to the normal display. It's not something I, personally, want on all the time, so it doesn't add them to incoming messages.
If you want timestamps on all chat messages all the time, then there's at least one, if not several, userscripts around which will do that. Personally, that's not something I want, as it's information I only occasionally use.
As to transcripts and other non-room chat pages: There's existing code in the SOCVR Archiver (and elsewhere) which will fetch the event data for all messages (events) on the transcript page and make the information available. I've been adjusting it with the intent to break it into it's own separately maintained piece of code, but haven't quite made that happen. I have more than one userscript that uses the code/data, so I would prefer not to maintain it in more than one place.
@Makyen Ah, I'll just check the console then. I don't need it often enough to bother with a userscript to check the transcript. Thanks for the information.
@Ollie No reason at all, it's just what showed up in the post. You're right, I'll adjust the watch, thanks.

@tripleee That pattern looks like it's already caught by Potentially bad keyword in username Append -force to the command if you really want to add the pattern you entered.
