@ThomasWard @tripleee Yeah, git for SD was broken on both of my instanaces. SD's GitHub code was still using the GitHub password for HTTPS access, rather than the github_access_token, even though the token was correctly in the config file. I've updated SD's code to correct that.

@gparyani You were already planning on giving FP feedback, which would have automatically removed the user from the user blacklist, so this command wasn't needed. It didn't hurt, it's just extra effort which you didn't need to do.

@Makyen Ah, I noticed that the same post had been reported twice. I thought the first one had already been marked FP so it was necessary to explicitly remove them from the blacklist to avoid it being reported again.

It's possible (didn't look closely to see) that the unblacklisting that would normally have happened got lost in the issues with the various instances earlier.

@Peilonrayz On what a user can do with this, or what a site mod can do with this?

A site mod, aka me

I believe there's something on MSE, I'll take a look. Note that different SE sites can have different cultures on how to deal with such content, so there might be one on codereview meta on this topic.
@Peilonrayz Just to clarify, you're referring to just the undisclosed affiliation, right? The flag I raised also mentioned the suspicious upvote, which is a different thing.

I've read a significant amount of MCR but I don't believe there is one.

Are you ok if I leave your flag for Mast? I know, you could say, he's a little more active here than myself.

@Peilonrayz Yes, of course :)

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in answer (1): How to find an extension of the file when I download it from AWS Glacier? by Anton Belyankin on stackoverflow.com

@Peilonrayz Hmm, while there's plenty on what users should do, and what the policy is, I'm not finding anything on what mods should do (not entirely surprising). FWIW, the options are (and note that I'm not, and never have been, a mod, so take this with as much salt as necessary)
1) If the answer is useful, and it's the user's first offense, simply edit in the disclosure, and leave a comment informing them of the policy.
2) If the answer is NAA, just delete it and leave the comment (leave the comment after the deletion, or else the comment disappears from the user's inbox).
3) If it's a repeat offender, and especially if it was intentional, ("I searched for the answer online and found <link to own content>..."), give them the red flag treatment as appropriate.

This is only with regards to the undisclosed affiliation though. For the suspicious voting, I know mods have tooling that lets y'all investigate the matter, but I don't know what those tools are, so I don't know what exactly can be done for those cases.

@cigien Comments from a moderator which were made on a post prior to post deletion stay in the user's inbox even after post deletion, if the comment is made within X time of when the post is deleted. The number I recall for X is 30 minutes, but I haven't personally tested more than a couple of minutes.

@Makyen Oh, I was misremembering then. Is this the case only for mod comments, or do comments by regular users (made within time X) also stay in the inbox?

11:42 PM
@cigien Only comments by moderators.
I should probably also note that the comment by the moderator doesn't grant the ability to see the post to users who would not otherwise be able to (e.g. a moderator replying to a comment which was not by the post author and was by a user without the see deleted posts privilege).
In that case (or even if the user was notified as the only other user who had a comment on the post), then the notification will remain in the user's inbox, but they will only be able to read the portion which is displayed in their inbox.
Hmmm... I'd have to check, but the complete comment might be available from the SE API from the route which gives the user's inbox entries. I don't recall if I checked that the time the above happened where I was the user notified who couldn't see the deleted post.

@cigien Sorry, was playing a competitive game. Thank you for being honest, I respect that. What you've said doesn't seem to 'out of bounds' for what I/we should do. Thank you. For votes I and my two most active mod companions are really quite new so tracking down votes may take some time (we probably have a lot to learn, well I do at least). Thank you we'll be sure to look into this :)

@Peilonrayz np. If you don't mind me asking, when you say "competitive game", are you referring to the mod flag-handling stats?
@Makyen Ok, thanks. Not that I can leave a comment after a post is deleted, but it's nice to know how it works.

@cigien lol. But no, I ran for mod taking the role of a Meta mod :)
I'm tempted to ask SE to ban people from asking Meta question's whilst I'm asleep. It's destroying my stats ;(
