@SmokeDetector naa- This doesn't actually answer the question. The post author is well aware of the need for a newline after a code block, but the thing is that directly contradicts the Commonmark code fence guidance.
@gparyani You shouldn't consider my lack of trying it to reflect on the script and its usefulness in general. It primarily reflects on the fact that the time I spend "reviewing" on SO/SE is, at this point, almost entirely flags on SO, which don't share an interface with the normal review queues. On the few times I've hit the review queues, primarily as the result of other issues, I've definitely wished that I'd spent the time to review/investigate the script. :(
