@Spevacus so what is your advice? ;) Should I write an answer or not?

Up to you. It's possible they were, indeed, being honest.

Typically I would say no. I'd consider that slightly abusive if you were posting spam or R/A content intentionally and then subsequently FPing the reports generated from it.

@Spevacus It appears to be functioning as expected. You probably think there's a problem because a report for this post was not posted in that room. That room is not currently configured to receive reports for posts which were detected only by experimental reasons, which that post was. If the room wants such posts to be reported in there, we can change that, but you'll need to have a room owner or moderator request it.

7:46 PM
@Makyen Oh! Didn't realize that last part. Thank you for clarifying. Pinging @Someone_Evil - In case you were interested in posts caught only by experimental reasons being reported there.

7:54 PM
Yeah you RPG.SE guys are pretty darn quick when it comes to spam.

@Spevacus what are you talking about? (I don't understand sry)

@VictorVosMottor A Smokey report for a post on RPG.SE with 1 weight was posted here, but not in RPG.SE's general chatroom, and a mod came here inquiring as to why. Makyen explained why, and Thomas Markov mentioned that he had posted it in the chatroom as fast as Smokey would have anyway. I made a side comment that spam doesn't last long on RPG.SE... They're pretty darn quick with general moderation duties. :)

ah thx ;)

8:09 PM
@Someone_Evil If it is something you want, it's trivial to make the change, from our point of view. The "experimental" reasons are the ones defined here. In general, those detection reasons tend to have higher rates of being false positives. OTOH, those reasons include the watch list, which is substantially more responsive at detecting new things than other reasons.
Note that a post is not reported into that room if the post was detected by only reasons on that list. If it's detected by any other reason (either alone or in combination with experimental reasons), then it's reported into your room. It's also possible to exclude specific reasons from causing a report to be posted into a specific room, if that is the only reason for a detection.

Pretty sure it's okay.

So can't smokey be told that if the only problem with a post is a link to w3schools then it shouldn't report it?

8:53 PM
Sort of. In that case, the only problem with that post was that there was a link at the beginning of the answer, so that wouldn't really apply.

What to do with answers asking OP to post their question somewhere else... I went with NAA right now but this feels wrong: stackoverflow.com/a/65430227/11573842
