Hmm...it seems that Smokey is now posting reports of deleted posts in the Tavern now, whereas it didn't in the past. Was this an intentional change recently, or a bug?

(For context, the Tavern has a 5-minute delay before posting a report, and it used to not post it if the post was deleted or marked as a false positive during the delay period. That second part of not posting in those cases seems to have broken today.)

MS doesn't seem to be registering that posts are deleted (x time) after being reported.
Nuked within seconds, still hasn't said that it's deleted.

@Makyen Can we change the description of #whitelist then? Right now it says "This tag should only be applied to a domain if the domain will never be used for spam. For example, a domain like google.com should not be whitelisted, because spammers can, and do, use both direct google.com searches as spam."

can we delete that section and just keep "Domains tagged with this will be exempted from most domain/ASN checks"? That way we could whitelist things like model.fit and system.io
also, ironically, "google.com" is whitelisted

@Makyen why ???

@VictorVosMottor Someone complained about deleted posts not being detected as deleted. The simplest solution, which might solve any number of problems, is to just reboot SD, which should restart the deletion watcher thread.

@Makyen SD sees deleted posts ?

@VictorVosMottor No. It sees the notification from SE that a post is deleted, which is the same notification about a question or question's answer being deleted which is sent to people viewing the question page.

@Makyen AFAICT Smokey has restarted since the issue was originally reported, and the problem has continued to occur since then.
However I was unable to trivially reproduce it with a test instance, and there certainly has been some flakiness on SE's side today
So it's possible that the websocket just died multiple times (once for the planned outage, and again for the unplanned one), in which case a reboot would indeed fix it

@NobodyNada I wouldn't be surprised at that. In fact, I expected it. But, I wanted to start from a known state.

5:19 PM
[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in body (1): Is there any Telegram group of Ubuntu users? by Sudipto Borun on askubuntu.com

@NobodyNada I've just begun the general WebSocket test, which isn't looking that great right at the moment, but it takes quite a while (many minutes, at least tens of minutes, if not much longer) to know for sure if there's a problem.
My plan was to wait for some clear spam and go to the page to see if the page was getting the WebSocket notification of the deletion.

I'm leaning towards this being an SE-related problem considering what happened earlier today.
But, I'm also completely illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff, soooo...

I'm at about 98% confidence that it's a problem on SE's side. Early results from the general WebSocket test indicates an error (there should be none under almost all conditions). I'll probably be posting a bug report on MSE in the near future.

@SmokeDetector I don't think this is spam... it looks like NAA at worst. The answer doesn't really dive into how best to help the OP's situation, it just says "Hey, Blender can do this." and then links to Blender. Blender, of course, isn't spam. Or... at least... I don't think it is.

@Spevacus Agreed, cc @VictorVosMottor. Blender is a VERY reputable FOSS video editing/3D modelling program

@NobodyNada I know. But it is not an answer though. Marked as naa. Sorry.

@NobodyNada That pattern looks like it's already caught by Bad keyword in answer and Bad keyword in body; append -force if you really want to do that.

Am I regexing wrong or is the search for that regex coming back with only FP (and 1 NAA)?
