!!/watch kartit\.us
user435118
@Daniil Why did you ignore that post?
user435118
@Daniil Yes, but it was TP and should be deleted. While it is now deleted, we don't ignore posts that might need to be reported in the future (e.g. if they are not yet deleted, or if they are undeleted).
user435118
15:46
@Makyen But it is deleted now...
user435118
It provides inaccurate blacklist guidelines
No reason to ignore it then
user435118
Doesn't ingoring exclude a post from a tp count?
no
Just keeps it from being reporting again
(by that instance only)
@Daniil I understand that. The fact that it is deleted just means there's not that much damage in having ignored it. It doesn't mean that it's not something to learn from the situation as to what the proper use of ignore is.
user435118
15:51
@Makyen That doesn't mean you have to invalidate my feedback, when I decide that it is appropriate to change it, I can do it myself
user435118
Then what's the steps to avoid what just happened there? i.e. two reported identical posts and an incorrect domain tp count
@Daniil The feedback was inaccurate. The effect of giving ignore feedback isn't something that we can currently reverse, but this one should be, if we write the code to be able to remove posts from the list. There needed to be a more permanent record of it, so it can be found later.
user435118
@Makyen I could have changed it myself, I don't think it was necessary
eh
invalidation exists for the purpose of correcting incorrect feedback
user435118
15:58
Can't the user change it themselves though? How are they going to learn then?
@Daniil Yes, you could have changed it yourself, which would have eliminated the record. That's a record which we may need, as I just explained.
user435118
@Makyen A record of what? All the incorrect feedback by Daniil?

so that we know what happened there later if someone goes "why wasn't this reported"
everyone has a record of their incorrect feedback, anyway :P
user435118
It will be reported since it was reported twice, i.e. the first post (which is the same one) with no ignore feedback will still be reported
@Daniil A record of an incorrect ignore, that we have no way of fixing, at this time. If we ever write the code to be able to do so, we need to be able to find the ones which should be changed. We need that record in order to be able to do that.

You are just making a fuss about something tiny imo
@Daniil, I would have invalidated that feedback even if I was the one that gave it. Invalidating the feedback wasn't personal. I felt that there should be a record of its existence, so that we can correct it, if and when we have the ability to do so.
@Daniil I agree that it's tiny. I'm not sure why you questioned it. I'm happy to drop it.

@Dragonrage Another couple of questions:
Do you want to be able to give feedback as chat messages in this room? If not, you will still be able to use userscripts or give feedback on MS. If you do want to give feedback in chat, what users do you want to be able to give chat feedback (e.g. only moderators; moderators + our normal list; moderators + a custom list)?
Do you want posts which are detected only for "experimental" reasons reported? Experimental reasons are ones which will tend to have a higher level of False Positives, but also are detections which catch less established spam/R/A patterns. On metasmoke (MS), we don't have a good way to search all such reasons at one time, only each one separately.
Some of the posts which would be affected by this can be seen in this search and this search as the ones which have a "(1)" after the title.

@jokerdino I haven't looked specifically, but compatibility with Greasemonkey (GM4) is going to be the most likely issue. It's our responsibility to write the script such that it works with GM4, but from your report I'd guess that it doesn't. I'll put fixing that on my list of things to do. Having it be compatible is really on us.
However, unfortunately, I recommend against using Greasemonkey 4, due to ongoing compatibility issues with many userscripts (e.g. >30 of the userscripts I use for Stack Exchange don't work correctly with Greasemonkey 4). I've gone into more detail about that here. If you want even more detail as to why and what the compatibility issues specifically are, I can provide more information (mostly useful if writing userscripts).
Overall, I recommend using Tampermonkey (closed source, but most popular) or Violentmonkey (open source).
Thank you.
[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in body (1): Break tag in ngfor loop by Tom Mccormack on stackoverflow.com
@Makyen I can confirm the script works on violentmonkey.
@jokerdino Great. Thanks for telling us. While I have seen a report or two of compatibility issues with Violentmonkey for some scripts (2 IIRC), they are quite rare. Unfortunately, the Greasemonkey issues are quite pervasive.
I use TM with my Firefox install (but I'm a Windows heretic so take that FWIW)
18:02
I routinely have both Greasemonkey and Tampermonkey active in my main profile, mostly for testing, but I have some scripts which I normally run in Greasemonkey, but most in Tampermonkey. For doing development, I usually use Tampermonkey, because it generates more useful errors in the WebConsole. For Greasemonkey, errors of often reported elsewhere.
