@iBug I screwed up on an audit 2 days ago and got banned for 4 days

ugh, audits are troublesome in most times

Zoe
1:24 PM
The lqp review queue is filled with traps >.>
yeah

Those audits have driven me into the habit of checking every post in a separate tab before taking any action.
And I have not failed a single audit since I developed that habit :)

they're doing their job then

um not really, not if you have to cheat to pass them

I have even wrote a userscript that simply opens the post in a separate tab with a keystroke (it's not open-source, for being potentially abusive).
Actually I assigned two keyboard shortcuts. One for "open in new tab", the other for "skip".

tpu- by iBug
fp- by Zoe

@Mithrandir Yeah, I did meet some bad audits, and raised 'em up on Meta after passing them.

@quartata opening the post separately is not cheating
If you're in the business of opening the post separately, you're clearly not robo-reviewing, so the audit did its job

i mean not necessarily. i bet a roboreviewer could pass most audit in something simple like Triage by chcking the actual post but that's not really the point

1:35 PM
fp- by Zoe

what I mean is that in order to pass some of these unfair audits you have to rely on information that a real post would not have: the fact that it was an audit and any clues as to the previous action

@SmokeDetector edit suggested to remove contact data and vote begging

@angus I've added some date filters to Flovis - those are good at reducing query times if you have a reasonably narrow window you're searching in

once you know it's an audit your goal is not to decide what's best for the post as it is but to guess what other people might say, and oftentimes this is a sole moderator with more information than you rather than a review consensus
as is often the case with LQP spam audits

@angussidney I marked it as tp because of the undisclosed affiliation. While I understood that the question explicitly asks for such information, SE's definition of spam is undisclosed affiliation or unsolicited. The Feedback Guidance is also quite clear that it's k and doesn't mention adjusting feedback for feeling lenient. However, as with most cases where it's a single case, or the circumstances mitigate the user providing the affiliated link, I feel that user education is more appropriate.
On sites I'm more familiar with, I leave a comment with links to the various Metas, the self promotion page in the help center, etc. On sites I'm not as familiar with, like this one, I leave a custom moderator flag, briefly explaining and leaving it up to the moderator. For this specific post, that custom moderator flag has not yet been handled.

fp by Nisse Engström

When I leave such comments, I also set a revisit to the question/post for two days later in order to check if it's been edited. If so, then I delete the comment. If not, there are a variety of options, including at least: editing the post and/or flagging.
